LMAO some dude on GB wants the NBA to fine and punish the Sixers. Like Adam Silver hasn't done that already throughout his tenure.

Not sure why some of you are complaining. The rules are black and white..8 players cleared = game on. It sucks but it will happen to many teams this season. Everyone knew this coming in.

Come on, they forced to clear people because this game is in primetime in Europe.
Plain and simple.

That's ridiculous. Doctors clear players. Doctors will lose their medical license for false diagnosis. They won't do that just because the NBA asks them lol.

I'm not complaining. I just think if the NBA season is going to occur, the rule should benefit the product. Playing this game will be dangerous for the 7 healthy players, three of which are rookies.

No, ditch digging is probably safer than playing 48 minutes straight in a professional basketball game. Especially if you're an 18-21 year old who has barely played and didn't have much of a training camp.

I highly doubt that. It’s a game, and they’re professional athletes. Plus, there’s two subs. So no one is playing 48 minutes straight of anything.

I couldn't disagree more. Players used to play 48 minutes all the time back in the early 2000s. Also all these kids grew up playing 3 games a day in the AAU circuit. They'll be fine.

Alright, well me and Doc Rivers will hold this incorrect opinion together. I feel pretty good about it.

"We’re going to play players tonight that haven’t played a lot of minutes. When you’ve got seven bodies, someone’s going to have to play 40-plus minutes. That’s just not for today; that’s long-term health with the accumulation of games. … I’m actually more concerned about that than I am, actually, about COVID. And I am concerned about COVID; the league is and everyone else is, as well. It’s a lot of stuff going on.”
