They can't be still paying Brett. He's been gone for 3 years already.

I'd be down for Nurse, but don't you wish Bud on this team.

Bud is a much better coach than Doc. The reason people hate on Bud is because he gets his teams to overachieve so much in the regular season, that it can't translate into the post-season as much.

But still he'd be a good bet to get us the #1 seed with the current roster, which would obviously be huge. He immediately improved the Bucks by 16 wins (from 44 to 60) when he got there. Also got a mediocre Hawks team to win 60 games somehow.

But he has the same problem as our current head coach...minus the one chip, he underperforms in the playoffs.

I'd be down for a scrapper like Nurse, but hiring Bud would be the definition of insanity.

Nurse over Bud for sure.

That said, Doc might still stay lol as the ownership might be too cheap to let him go.

Where did you hear they are debating firing Glenn?

He is an upgrade over Doc, and everyone and their mother will want Nurse, so he will probably not be available to Sixers.

This.

But Doc should resign, he is wasting his time here.

The real problem is missing on Tatum, Mitchell, SGA, Bridges, not retaining Butler.

So we have Harden as a result of a Ben Simmons trade and he’s a shell of his former self. Now we have no real draft capital, we’re cap strapped, and we have a bloated contract in Tobias Harris who doesn’t play to the level his contract demands.

Had to get the guard/forward that would be able to be the second star with Embiid. If we’re able to find someone like that now, we need to convince Embiid to be end of prime Duncan.

We also still need another coach. Doc can’t be absolved of sin here lol.

Lazy comparison to just paint him with the same "underperforms in the playoffs" brush. Far superior coach to Doc.

Yeah, I think Brett finally left the payroll last year. That’s why he took his old assistant job back with Pop this year.

Doc seems like a good bet to get another job anyway, perhaps with the Bucks lol.

That cheap rat bastard needs to pull the trigger and move on.

Embiid needs to drop 25 pounds, commit himself to be the DPOY on a nightly basis, and accept that he’s a C&S or one dribble player.

If Glenn gets another job, pretty sure the Sixers don’t have to pay him anymore.

Fire him quickly so he can get another job.

If only Embiid had the same level of self awareness ;)

I’ve hated on Rivers as much as the next guy, but I no longer think it’s the coach. I was convinced that Brett Brown was holding Simmons back and it turned out the opposite was true. Sometimes the player you’re trying to unlock is unlockable—Simmons then, Embiid now. At the end of the day, how do you run an effective playoff offense through Embiid? I tend to think there is no good answer to this. I won’t even care if Rivers is fired or not.

There's like 5 threads on the GB right now where everyone is hating on Joel and the Sixers, no need to come in here with your garbage.

For Embiid to say "all of us" missed shots is so lame. He shouldn't have mentioned anyone else but his sorry ass Today.

Agreed. The issue is then finding another perimeter scorer. Maxey is one, but Harden ain't it.
