3 Team deal makes sense with PG going to Golden State, Jimmy back to Philly, and Combo of Picks/players to miami

San Antonio just got Fox for next to nothing.

Wemby gets a running mate without his team losing any depth. Great TV, eh Silver?

Meanwhile, the Sixers get Colangelos.

Simple.

Do you really believe that Kidd has that much pull in the organization where he can tell the FO trade Luka and the only person I want is AD. And the FO says OK coach !!! :o , Then Kid adds don't worry about future draft picks one will do. Don't need a whole bunch. Would not want to deplete the Lakers chance of building around Luka going forward. And so what if we trade him to a western rival. It means nothing.

Mark Cuban is rolling over in his grave.
Cuban doesn't own the team anymore, so he has no powers. And Pat Riley has that kind of power too and told every team he will give up the Playoff Jimmy for almost nothing unlike AD and an unprotected 1st which will also shocked you Lol

And Jimmy is in much better shape than chubby 270 LB Luka and rising who is turning into Zion cause he loves to eat those big bbq ribs instead of keeping in shape :)

I just can't when you are right you are right.

Bucks:
Joel Embiid
Reason: Bucks compete short term with draft picks for post Embiid&Lillard era

Sixers:
Giannis
2028 Sixers 1st
2030 Sixers 1st
Reason: Got a more reliable alpha to play with George and Maxey while they still keep their Clips 2028 pick and 2029 Clips swap

Butler turned down a potential extension from golden state? He’s lost it.
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Grimes/Edgecombe/Gordon
Oubre/Edwards
George/Watford/Barlow
Embiid/Bona/Drummond/Broome

I would say how absurd this trade is and explain why the Bucks wouldn't do it, but after the Luka trade... I just don't know any more.

If I had to pick between the Lakers or the Mavs as the team most likely to win a ship, I am putting money on the Mavs.

They have 3 rim protecting centers on the roster led by AD, which can beat OKC in a 7 games series. No way the Lakers can beat them without AD, let alone any dominant rim protector at the 5.

That’s insane. They must have been offering picks/young players for him too.

Pat Riley about to shut him down the rest of the year and let him test FA when no teams have cap space lol

Good news is: anyone who thinks Embiid can't be moved is wrong.

Contractually it can't be until this Summer though, correct? Given the timing of when he signed the extension?

I joked about Embiid for Zion in another thread, but I could see that being a consideration this offseason. Especially if the Pelicans trade Ingram for Butler. I also, lowkey, think it's a good move.

It's clear ownership wants at least one more crack at this group of three. They promised PG he's not getting traded in the first year, obviously Embiid can't be traded in the first year.

A lineup of Maxey, McCain, PG, Zion, and a stretch 5 is pretty lethal. They'd go as far as Zion's health/weight permitted.

This would be a minor miracle.

Player's league, brother. If Jimmy gets re-signs with the Pelicans and wants Embiid, the Pelicans will make that move particularly because it seems they're constantly at odds with Zion. We'd likely have to give up more because of Embiid's knee and age.

Disagree. The Pelicans add to Zion for Joel. The one guy who is hurt more than Joel is Zion. And there's no way Morey agrees to salary dump Embiid (Zion's contract is UNG). And it only helps the Sixers position even more if Jimmy is there asking for Joel.

lol yeah even I have to admit that now lol.

I love Biid but its def time to move on. Not enough moves left to build around him and his flaws and now the stigma of trading your MVP talent is gone lol.

There's a difference between a history of hamstring strains and a Jones fracture compared to what Embiid is currently dealing with in his knee. Embiid might have one to two good years left in him tbh. Williamson has 8-10 years.

Question for the capologists.

If the 6ers were able to trade Drummond and Gordon for 2 expiring contracts and then renounce the 2nd year of KJs contract this summer could they open up the Full MLE for Yabusele?

By my count that would be 16.4 less in salary next season which should put them around 170 million in salary before Yabusele. How does Oubre's situation effect this scenario? What's his cap hold if he opts out?

I would do this trade in a heartbeat. But why does NOP trade for an aging star? It feels like it would require a 3rd team to acquire Embiid.

Not to do recency bias because I do think the Mavs GM is brain dead, but AD is also an aging, injury plagued big man and Doncic is a dough boi who apparently causes headaches to the Mavs culture.

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
