Made All-Rookie First team, obviously, however 3 media voters didn't have him on their ballots at all, for either First or Second teams ... So, according to those voters there were 10 rookies better than him this season. The NBA, lol, jokes.

I can imagine the Denver homers voting for Nurkic as first team but wtf was up with not putting him on either team? People trying that much harder to bump him down so Nurkic could go in front? It's just so strange how political these votes are and how desperate people are at pushing agendas.

do the disclose who the voters pick? I still don't understand why media members control votes for things like this.

Oh, Holman, why? He should have just ignored me and made me feel better, however he was kind enough to reply and he tweeted that he left him off of his ballot because of our record, but 3 players (Wiggins, Lavine, Galloway) were on team's with worse records than ours...

I saw that. I'm not a vengeful man, and I don't care at all. But nevertheless, **** the Hawks.

I live in Atlanta now and he is the radio voice for the Hawks. Whenever I hear his interviews he seems decently knowledgeable and interesting, if a little old school. There goes that opinion.

One would have to assume that voters leaving Noel completely off of their All-Rookie ballots did so because they do not consider him to be a true rookie.

So, it would appear that those voters are making some kind of scary statement about who is and who isn't a true rookie. Since Noel was red-shirted the year he was drafted, those voters must consider him to be a veteran.

My take: Put your personal agendas aside and vote for the best players eligible for the honor.

Let's be real, these guys aren't putting any effort into doing this. They just quickly fill out the ballot. I'd say a good 75% of these writers have no idea of the happenings away from the team they cover.

Any updates if Nerlens did gain size over the offseason?

Not sure, all I know is I've been watching Nerlens highlights the last few days, man he's such a unique player. What do you guys think his ceiling is? Like who does he compare with? People say Mutombo, but besides the shot blocking and the little jump hooks Nerlens is such a different player. He gets intio passing lanes, runs the floor etc.

His ceiling may be Motombo (if Noel fills-out and gets much stronger) or Kevin Garnett (if Noel can develop a jump shot and a polished offensive game).

The player he most reminds me of is Joakim Noah. They are certainly not identical, but Noah is a difference-maker on defense who can contribute on offense. He has won DPOY and been to two All-Star games. I think this is a good comparison of what kind of player Noel will likely develop into.

I see a lot of AK-47 in him too. I think Noel is the guy who ends up getting the first 5x5 in a while.
