I'd take a flyer on Porter Jr if he's cut. If he acts up you can just waive him. Not even trading a fake second rounder for him though.

That team is unquestionably better. Could beat the Bucks or Celtics in a 2nd round matchup. And theoretically Jo should tear up the Nets, and Harden hasn't exactly shined come the playoffs, so who knows what happens in that series.
So you’re willing to give 2 unprotected first round picks to potentially try to get to the ECF, and who knows what happens then?
Ideally they could move off Harris cheaper, but he has always been worse than his numbers, and the offense will be more fluid and flat out better without him, and I don't believe ownership pays repeater tax for the existing roster.
Ideally Morey can use our valuable assets (FRPs, swaps, Thybulle) + Harris and get a better in return.

Right so best fits are Beal, CJ, Lavine. I think Chicago makes the most sense, organizationally. We’d probably need to give up Ben for Beal, and I don’t think Portland wants to break up CJ, Dame.
Thybulle, Harris, 2021 FRP, 2023 FRP, 2022 2nd for Otto Porter, Lavine.
Harris off the books. Porter gives you a defensive big body that can shoot the 3.
Ben Maxey Curry
Lavine Shake
Danny
Porter
Embiid Dwight
Major cap flexibility moving Tobias for Porter. Personnel allows us to give big or small. Lavine Embiid and Ben are a seamless fit... speed and shooting next to Ben. We can move Ben to the 4 and Porter to the bench

Also, a core of Lavine, Ben, Embiid provides a substantial timeline and a high ceiling. Moreover being able to retain Shake + Maxey are huge.

No thank you, but I bet a team like the Nets will pick him up for pennies and he'll turn into a really good rotational player.
If KPJ went to Miami for a couple years, he would likely become a 10 year starter in the league. The other place he would certainly thrive would be the Lakers.
Riley is 0-2 on the last two clowns he gave chances to (Gerald Green and Dion Waiters). I'd imagine he stays away this time out of fear that he'll get burnt for the third time in a row.

Wiz isnt going to get anything better than that.
That future first is likely to be a lottery pick

You sure about that? Seems like a sellers market at the moment. DLo and 3 firsts sounds more plausible.

Kings:
Ben Simmons
^They’re one of the best offensive team and one of the worst defensive team, Ben’s going to change that. Having Ben also allows them to play Fox-Haliburton-Hield trio at the same time. They were also rumored to be interested in Ben.
Kings 5:
Fox
Haliburton
Hield
Ben
Holmes
Bulls:
Marvin Bagley
Kings 2021 1st round pick

Zach Lavine
Kings 2023 1st round pick
^ Sixers got Lavine and a valued first that they can use for future trade.
Sixers 5:
Milton
Lavine
Green
Harris
Biid

Ben averaged 21ppg, 11apg, 7rpg and didn't shoot a single 3pt shot. And shot 64% FT, 3 attempts per game on average.
And they smoked everyone except LAL. They were the #1 seed.
I think I could do this exercise with other teams.
The basic premise is trading Ben to a team without a dominant paint Big who posts up, but rather 4 guys who play some level of D and run the floor, and good catch and shoot 3pt guys...
Meanwhile putting 3&D or catch and shoot guys around Embiid, with 1 or 2 perimeter creators...
Both guys flourish compared to seasons I run with them both on the team.
And I don't go to conference finals or NBA finals or get #1 seeds with them together.

Only Grizz trade for me.
Grizz:
Tobias
Ben
Sixers:
Brooks
Kyle Anderson
Tyus Jones
30M expiring (Waiters&Dieng)
Grizzlies 2021 1st
Grizzlies 2022 pickswap
Grizzlies 2023 1st round pick
Grizzlies 2024 pick swap
^ I can then start trading my picks to get Lavine or Beal.

Milton being as good as he is and Maxey being advanced for a 20 year old gives us the opportunity to sell Simmons for a young scorer, expirings and draft picks.

Chicago is not going to eat tobias harris’ contract for Thybulle and 2 late firsts and a decent 2nd rounder for Lavine. I don’t see anyway you’re getting Lavine with that offer. They could easily get more talent and draft compensation without Harris’ extremely negative contract. If they’re giving up Lavine and going full rebuild they don’t want all that cap tied up and Thybulle at this point is very one dimensional.

I actually think it can go a variety of ways.
If I were Atlanta, I might be considering a small ball 5 lineup with:
Simmons
Gallo
Reddish
Bogdanovic
Young
That team would be sick. With Okongwu/Huerter/Rondo off the bench.
Simmons/Bradley/Korkmaz/Poirier/Ferguson
For
Hunter/Collins/Capela/Snell
Embiid/Capela/Howard
Harris/Collins/Scott
Hunter/Green/Thybulle
Milton/Snell/Joe
Curry/Maxey
Reason for Philly: reliable backup to Embiid signed to a long term deal, 3&D young wing, 3&D backup SG on an expiring, and Collins can either be traded again or signed to a long term deal as a backup PF.

Yeah... I don't see them being able to use Tobias to get an upgrade. They would be using assets to dump his contract and get a worse but still useful player. Best case scenario you're looking at like Harrison Barnes. That excite you?

I don’t see a world where Chicago gets more than 2 frp for Lavine. Plus young value in Thybulle... We know Eversely values Thybulle immensely. Unclear what Chicago’s long term goals are, but Tobias should make them better, but yea they’d want more probably to eat that contract.
I probably would not do it, but giving up Shake in that deal would probably move the needle.
White - Shake - Harris - Lauri - Carter kinda nice.
