Ben shutting down Giannis.
Seth outscoring Jrue.
Tobi outscoring Middleton.

Dwight wrestling Giannis and both gets suspended for the series.

Profit

Would be fun if both teams make it a Ben vs Giannis FT shooting showdown lol

Khris Middleton is a heck of a player. Tobi would likely need a huge series for us.

Tonight against the Hawks, we know the formula, it’s our ridiculous scoring droughts that kill us. We need Tobias to get some easy buckets. The five, six, seven minutes of gametime without scoring is tough to overcome. And that is where our lack of easy buckets, poor point guard play, and hack-a-Ben become magnified.

I'm not gonna talk about the Bucks until after the game of tonight.

But i think if they keep doing the kind of offense they played against the Nets they're not gonna win the title.

Imagine Giannis as Ben’s simmons’ defender

Okay so the first play shown Embiid should have dumped it off to Simmons for a wide open dunk instead of going for a flashy dunk and almost injuring himself. And the second play he missed a wide open shooter in the corner while he was double teamed. Is there any reason I should keep watching this video? I get the point about people roaming but it’s been known for a while and this is just stupid

Key is to pace it. If Seth or Tobi are cooking in the third, then sit Biid and let Biid do his thing in the fourth with Maxey and Ben.

The Bucks have some issues offensively when Giannis tries to do too much in the half court but they match up pretty good with us. Tucker/Giannis on Simmons/Harris with Middleton and Holiday guarding Curry and whoever else we start. And then you have one legged Embiid trying to score against a big guy in Lopez that has help defense from Tucker/ Giannis. If our offense has issues against the Hawks it will have even more issues against the Bucks.

Just watched the Nets-Bucks G7

If we face the Bucks, Tobi would be on Brolo.

That mean Ben on Middleton and Biid on Giannis.

I wouldnt be surprised if GHill starts and he’d be on Jrue.

In G7, maybe GHill starts? So we’d have more fire power off the bench with Kork, Maxey and Milt?

Got to win this game first. Bucks are a superior version of us it could get ugly like the reg season matchup. Curry got abused and got taking in turns like a dutch. Though to his most deserved credit he’s been our second best performer in the playoffs.

Size isn’t a factor anymore and they have the better outside bookend (Middleton). Harris is going to facing better defenders too and he can be neutralized fairly seamlessly. 13FTA’s and 15 3ball attempts agaisnt the Hawks (FT rate is deplorable imo for a 6”10 guy) just ain’t going to cut it when pushing the scoreboard over that’s why we have massive struggles when Embiid sits.

If we play the Bucks probably is a make or brake series for Tobias. He has to keep playing at this level, or even higher if needed. At least he has to be at Middelton's level, he can't be outplayed by him.

We probably reached the tower of babel in the C position.

Two centers in Jokic and Embiid battling for MVP.

Jokic, Gobert and Embiid exposed or has teams underperformed in the playoffs over guard lead teams.

You have to ask yourself.. is winning a championship around a big really possible?

Defensively, Gobert has showed it the traditional Goalie type defense is obsolete. Jokic and Biid had trouble defending the pick and roll.

Offensively, pick and roll and just pulling up for a jumper off a brush screen is very powerful. Hawks offense is just more efficient in getting looks over our Embiid heavy offense.

Screen play with a perimeter ball handler is just too powerful nowadays. It’s as if the league is saying, evolve or die. We saw it first hand how unstoppable it is despite having 3 all NBA caliber players.

With that said, how do you incorporate a post and iso heavy big in this type of offense?

I just dont see Embiid being a roll man because of his health risk in those lobs. He’s more of a pick and pop guy like Dirk, KG or Karl Malone while also a reliable guy to dump the ball down the stretch. Can he play that role? I think he can but there are bridges to be crossed until then like roster structure and player development.

The problem with this team is deeper than the issues with Ben.

This is the kind of game you should be prepared to play in the playoffs. Tit for tat and you loose if you can’t score when the music stops.

Again it’s the equivalent of an NFL team with Derrick Henry and no quarterback. You aren’t winning a Super Bowl with the run game alone anymore.

Yes, it's possible. You just have to have a stable of creators playing around the bigman. You don't even need stars or future hall of famers. Just get solid Parker/Ginoboli types.

Maxey is a start. Find a few more with varying sizes and we'll fault to title favorites.
