I don’t see it as “getting rid of Embiid”. I see it as getting a C who can run with their guards. Embiid even when he was young didn’t like running the floor.

Little tweak.

CHI gets Embiid
PHI gets Lauri, Kessler, and Dalen Terry
UTA gets Vucevic, Pat Williams, Eric Gordon, POR 1st via CHI, 28 LAC 1st, 30 PHI 1st (top 4 protected through 32 then two 2nds)

Chicago is one of the few teams I could see taking a flier on Embiid. The other two are Golden State (ties with Steph/Jimmy) and Minny (think the late prime Shaq to Ant's Wade).

I don't see Minnesota going for Embiid.

Agreed on Chicago. GSW has no way to match money. They aren't trading Draymond. Him and Steph are Dubs4lyfe.

The other type of team I could see being interested in Embiid is a mid/small market team who never gets the star player types and wants to make a splash. Think Sacto or Charlotte.

This is an interesting idea.

I think Maxey could lead the league in scoring with his 2-man game with Draymond who'd really help our interior defense and half court playmaking. Actually he could run all of his Steph actions with McCain or Maxey and just create so much space for our shooters.

Kuminga is another flier asset like Grimes, except he's started the season on fire.

If you could turn one of Grimes/McCain/Kuminga into legit option at the #5 like a Walker Kessler you're cooking something serious.
