Joel, Harris, and Maxey should all take more shots than James,
You want him in some sort of Chris Paul role, but what you don’t seem to understand is that Chris Paul routinely takes games over in the fourth quarter, as in the other night when he scored 19 points for the win. If Harden had the capacity to play like Chris Paul, the Sixers win that game today. That kind of fourth-quarter scoring was exactly what this team needed with the other players you mentioned playing like they were.
You’re failing to account here for the fact that there is variation in players’ performances. You aren’t going to get exactly the same Joel Embiid, Tobias Harris, and Tyrese Maxey from game to game.
You basically joined this forum as a Harden hater. Your first post revealed it. Every player can have rough games but Harden has been pretty consistent in finding the open players after getting by his man. Why negate the assists and the overall control of the game he provides? He was essential to the Nets in this capacity, and I would argue that is one of the reasons they are offensively lost right now. CP3 shot 25 percent and scored 4 points last night in the entire game. Imagine the trolls if Harden had that kind of game.

I don't think anybody whose username is "HardenGoat" is in a position to critique what he believes to be someone else's inherent bias against James Harden.
As for the substantive part of your post, Harden has tremendous value to this team and would for any team as well -- the difficulties with Harden for this particular team in this particular year are that 1) he isn't a dog, and so he doesn't provide a key ingredient of winning championships in the NBA, and nor is anyone else on the team, and 2) he hasn't ratcheted up his play in the playoffs. Those two things combined make this team unlikely to get beyond the second round as usual.
Harden is a great player and offers a tremendous amount to a team, but this team as it's currently constructed needs more from him or someone else to do any better than it has in recent years. In other words, in terms of this team's playoff potential, it might as well have Ben Simmons out there. Harden doesn't offer enough over and above that to result in anything different than usual.

His DOG per 48 has been pretty low this series if you really dig into it.

Re: Welcome James Harden!
You won't see it written by me anywhere that being a dog means a player either 1) performs in a way consistent with that in every game, or 2) wins every game he plays.
Lots of straw men here.

Benefits me how? Is there some award I'll receive here for being right?

If there isn't, you're sure as hell competing hard for an imaginary one.
In the realm of trying to be 'right', your dog mentality is off the charts.

Re: Welcome James Harden!
It's funny how Harden got branded a choker for competing against teams that dog walked Lebron James. Like even the greatest of Lebron detractors point to 2011 and his overall (correct) decision to flee to South Beach. 2017 & 2018? Uncharted territories. Those were the unbeatable teams. "Kevin Durant broke basketball".
The Warriors beat the Cavs in 5 and then a sweep the next season? No issues here, nothing he could do.
But James Harden comes along as the leader of the only team that ever pushed the greatest team in basketball to a game 7. Ever had them trail in a series. Ever took games away from them at Oracle.
But this guy is the choker and the loser.
I get it though, as the greatest shooting guard in NBA history these are just the standards that are set for you.

Anybody trying to explain a complex concept would sound similar.

Re: Welcome James Harden!
Wasn't this the dude saying that said like yesterday that Embiid/Harden don't have that CP3/Booker dog mentality.
Also, the dude wanted to do Buddy Hield for Simmons.
Celtics almost got swept by the Nets last year and they're not that much different of a team. Where was that mentality last year?
Sixers deficiencies and the teams they have to go against will make it tough to win the championship, but the way you oversimplify and move goal posts make you sound like a chump.

There are a lot of tough teams in the playoffs. The team with everything clicking. Celtics almost got swept by the Nets last year and they're not that much different of a team. Where was that mentality last year?

I'll go ahead be a chump in your book then. Doesn't bother me a bit.
