The Ben rumors were unsubstantiated anyways, but our fans turned their nose up at him because he didn't have hoopmixtape handlez.

Fundamentals win out.

TBF I'm just doing it to troll the "Haliburton game is not for the playoffs" guy

His impact is obvious anyway, you need to be blind or in delusion to act like his game isn't translating, all his advanced metrics are similar to the regular season too in a small sample.

Iirc speaking for myself and I could be wrong, I was leaning AGAINST trading for Haliburton because Ben's value was too chaotic to replace him with one player(s), although I'll have to get in touch with my mindset at that particular time because I've been at war with this franchise since Horford/Tobias>> Butler, I cannot state my opinion on the 18-19' season aftermath much because of what happened.

Which team can put together a package for Giannis that leaves them with enough pieces to be a legit title contender, other than OKC?

Haliburton is so good for a league that desperately needs that kind of character who is utterly unconcerned if he is reviled by fans and even his fellow players - he actually enjoys it. With Draymond on the down side of his career, it has become a cookie-cutter league with regard to personalities, as most of the players are friendly going back to their college days.

It's nice to rekindle actual rivalries, and Pacers-Knicks was a great one in the '90's. The question today is if teams can stay together long enough to generate any real rivalries again.

That package seems light to me, but I guess it's close.

This. That being said, I think we're ahead of Houston in that regard, if Embiid can play 50+ games.

#3, George, McCain, 2028 LAC 1st, 2029 PHI/LAC 1st

Maxey
Grimes
(TMLE)
Giannis
Embiid

No depth, which has been an issue and why I probably wouldn't do it.

100%. Maybe we finally can put the Haliburton hate to rest, and Morey can come out with his own Remorse Armageddon and apologize for choosing Harden over him.

Yea and I don't think giving up Maxey or more would be wise. Don't think we are the best trading partner for them despite theoretically having the assets to get it done.

Both the Pacers and Knicks played soft on defense with vanilla defensive schemes. It felt like they were testing whether their guys could handle the opposing star in single coverage. Nesmith on Brunson, Mikal on Hali. There was a lot of soft 1v1 defense and frequent miscommunication on screen actions

I already knew the Pacers were going to win when I watched the replay, but I was curious how the Knicks managed to blow it.. and wow, they really choked. Missed free throws, fumbled passes, it almost felt like the hand of destiny was pushing for a Pacers comeback.

I'm not sure Edwards is overrated. He's the best player remaining in the playoffs. Him or SGA. I'd take Edwards over SGA probably, but it's close.
