something with the long break caused a little soreness so they are just giving him another week off.

he'll miss 3 games and be back next week.

Seems to be a pretty gruesome case of light soreness/knee tendinitis.

Judging by the facts that Jo is going to miss both the OKC and the GSW games now, and that the Sixers have delayed an Embiid injury announcement before due to ticket sales... it would certainly seem that Embiid has a bigger injury than tendonitis.

On the flip side, Harris was talking at Sloan (why does that weasel go to Sloan? He rolled over like a dog for Silver and stabbed Hinkie in the back for Christ's sake) yesterday and said that they expect to go deeper in the playoffs than last year and an early exit would make "everyone very unhappy". So it also seems Harris expects Joel to be playing.

Good news. But we really need to regulate his minutes and back to back games. Him playing through all the back pain was not a good idea. Other parts of the body like the knees have to compensate.

From here on. I hope he plays 30-32 minutes. Takes back to back games off. Need him healthy for the playoffs

I think Boban will help with that when he returns.

I want Bolden playing. Get him ready for the postseason. Boban is fine for the regular season in spurts, but he's not really playable in the playoffs.

injured players almost never have their own press conference to explain what is going on, maybe Joel is fed up with the front office being obtuse? Also one report says its been building for a while but here it says he felt fine going into the all star game?
