I don’t really understand what problem that would solve it other than stopping the Warriors & Clippers from embarrassing other owners for being cheap.

There's half, and the other half is Lacob and Ballmer now no longer have to pay astronomical tax bills.

"Sorry, Draymond, can't pay you what you're worth. hard cap and all. Good luck in Detroit!"

Much like baseball, once the hard cap is given up by the owners, it is gone forever.

Obviously something off the court, but that aside, that pick was always baffling and came out of nowhere. He was literally drafted because of his age lol.

Spurs fans were declaring that guy PG of the future as recently as two weeks ago. Has to be drugs, right?

Well, it would make sense for the players too if they got a 200M hard cap with a 150M floor out of it. Don't know what that percentage would be, but I do know revenue is up across the league. And team valuations are through the roof. Sixers at 3.15B.

That, or some kind of violent threat and brandishing of a firearm to a teammate or something wild.

But if it was a gun or something, I imagine someone would have said something or seen something? Here, Spurs just drop a quiet bomb that they completely wasted a 12 pick and still have to pay cash for two years on it.

Wow, that's crazy. Couldn't imagine most teams waiving a former lottery pick in their second season unless it was truly awful.

Hard cap + min cap expenditure % wise each year would bring much more competitiveness and a better product. Calling NBA a capped sport even a soft one is really stretching it with the loophole bs.

Dispatch from the Wolves game:

Lebron has clearly lost a step and it’s tough to see. Mostly because he’s on a terrible team where he’s forced to grind out games as the best player.

The level of shadenfreude at Westbrook’s demise makes me uncomfortable. I don’t know what Westbrook did to Wolves fans but they were heckling the **** out of him.

I think Wolves are gonna have long term troubles because the Rudy PnR looks bad. D-Lo isn’t a real threat coming off the pick so the big can just stick to Rudy. Ant’s feel for playmaking is bad so he struggles to operate as the main playmaker. Not sure how they’ll be able to figure it out.

Wow, LeVert and Mitchell had 41 in their game. Must be nice for them to so quickly form a synergy.

I've never been a Westbrook fan per se, but the piling on a guy who busts his ass every night regardless how badly he's playing is incredibly ugly.

As far as James, finally he gets to live through a dumpster fire he usually abandons before it happens. Karma is a bitch.

I hear you, but it would be the first time I can ever think of that a players' union actually bargained a hard cap back in where there was none.

The Westbrick meme is very tired by now, but the guy completely brought it upon himself. Dude spent his entire career mean mugging and barking at fans, being a passive aggressive **** to media (admitidely sometimes they deserve it) but never can seem to take it when it's dished back. Now that he is actually garbage, he confronts fans and tries to gain sympathy in pressers. Soft. He should've asked LeBron how to handle it.
