It's illogical to practice something as extreme as shooting with your opposite hand unless you're planning on making a permanent switch.

Weren't you just asking for footage of him shooting?

jojosimbiid was looking forward to seeing a normal fultz jumpshot to keep his spirits up like the rest of us. i don't think he was looking forward to seeing fultz shoot left handed

Or instead and hear me out here this is kind of an out there theory. He was told to not shoot right handed due to his shoulder issue so for the purpose of completing the drill and getting some work in he shot left. *gasp*

Yeah it looks like he's just messing around. Shouldn't even have him shoot with reporters around.

to think he's scared and psychologically scarred to shoot with his right hand and switching to shooting with his left hand at age 19 is just as illogical.

i just think he's getting some reps in.

this whole situation is so weird. i want to skip this "process" (basically pros and nos about whether hes injured or not) and just want to see the result. ive never had any confidence in his 3-point-shot, but i have to believe hes injured, shootin that freethrows with an uglier form than shaq's. though, why is he even shootin left handed, when the right shoulder isnt healed? if hes injured he shouldnt do any practice that stress the shoulder. off-arm or not, he has to move his right shoulder to shoot it left...this story smells

Yeah. I can’t see the logic of shooting left handed though.

It’s one thing to work on left handed floaters and lay ups, but it makes no sense to me to be shooting left handed jump shots.

Hopefully the media is going to ask this question today though.

So both our number one picks now shoot with the wrong hand now lol. Simmons is right handed and shoots left. Fultz is right handed and now shoots left. Simmons is bad influence on Fultz.

Injured players don't randomly start doing legitimate shooting drills with their off hand.

The whole concept of a rep is to repeat your normal motion and build muscle memory. So him shooting left handed just to get reps in wouldn't serve a purpose.

Don't get your point. He was clearly never debilitatingly injured--we all saw him play in those games and move well--and on the other hand clearly something is bothering him to the extent that he's not shooting like he used to. In these drills he's just doing what he did during the games, and we don't know what's happening with his shooting.

Either way, I still don't get the point of speculating about things we by definition can't know anything about. At some point he's going to look better and more healthy and we'll see what he can do. Until that point we're just spinning our wheels with these hunches and intuitions about what's really going on, same as talking about what the rain's thinking about when it's falling.
