Remember when I told you guys to get this guy?

Yeah, I'm not the kind of guy to say "I told you so", but I also said to get him!

We'd be far better off w/him as our backup PG as opposed to Maxey. For vet min signing him was a no brainer.

The only reason not do is a firm commitment to play our young guys instead and use this as a developmental year instead of doing everything possible to contend. I'm good w/that if that's actually the plan.

He’s the best cheap pick and roll PG available. We could have start Milton now and have Teague off the bench while Maxey learns the ropes.

As Doc as a coach, we need guys who can run pick and rolls.

Harden just threw an alley hoop pass to two people.

Killian Hayes is soooooo raw. He can still be good but he’s nowhere near ready. GLeague would be best for him.

Wiseman is raw. His reads on defensive rotations are off. He even is really bad on setting screens. Typical raw big. Warriors can’t play Wiggins, Oubre and Wiseman together. It’s too chaotic.

If you watch the Warriors, Warriors would be behind when those three are on the court then they’ll cut the lead when Paschall is in the game.

Warriors should look for a PG who can run the pick and roll to pair with Steph for offense. Steph then slides to that Klay role while they generate offense off the Wiseman-PnR PG on offense.

I was a big fan of Hayes, but yeah, it looks ugly right now. I didn't expect the transition to be this difficult for him. He does not appear to be a naturally confident kid. A little Fultz-like in that respect.

The good news for him is that they don't need him to be a scorer right now. Just get him right defensively and have him move the ball for others and gradually build up his confidence.

Also good news for Detroit is that a guy they did draft to score the ball for them (Bey) looks every bit like the poor-man's Paul Piece comp he got coming out.

Thank Goodness Boston wasted the #14 pick on Aaron Nesmith instead of picking Saddiq Bey.

Regardless of his lateral mobility, I honestly think Wiseman is going to be a defensive bust. In his small sample space in college, I thought he looked terrible on that end. Almost like he was playing through an injury or something. He's just going to be a post-defender/rim-protector type as opposed to someone who can switch out and do everything. The defensive savant at the C position from this class was Okongwu.

Bey would have been nasty off Boston's bench. As would any of the tiny 6'2" and under scorers (Anthony, Maxey). Also, Precious playing the Grant Williams role would have been nasty too. Tough break for Boston with that pick. They need Nesmith to be Buddy Hield to justify that selection and I'm not sure if he can be.

The Celtics are 3-3 with the 15th ranked offense and Tatum/Brown are putting up a bunch of empty scoring production as pseudo-creator non-stars.

I'm so glad Ainge locked into this duo instead of flipping them for a real star.

They have just really thrown Hayes in the deep end asking him to start at point. Not guaranteeing he will be good but it won’t be at all surprising if it takes a while. And yeah the good news is unlike Fultz he’s being put in a situation with no expectations. In fact him being bad is good for their lotto odds.

IDK about Pierce but Bey looks like he’ll at least be a solid two way forward in the league for a long time. Again unlike Hayes he’s an upperclassman from a great program asked to fill a much simpler role.

I dont know why Jaylen and Tatum can’t be used like how Doc used PG and Kawhi by letting them run more pick and rolls.

no roll threats and not enough shooters

they need that midget with the bum knee to get healthy because all of Danny Boy's late first rounders are non-factors

Not good enough ball handlers to trust in shotcreating roles. At least not yet. Stevens has shown he will turn the offense over if he has a ball handler he feels good about (Irving, Rozier, Thomas, Walker, etc).

Apparently, Stevens doesn't think much of Tatum/Brown.

It's not just a positional thing, either, because Stevens trusted Evan Turner to run pick and rolls and create his own offense in his system. Not Tatum or Brown, though. Pretty telling.

Kemba was 8th in PnR last season possessions last season. I dont think its because of the lack of threats or lack of shooters. Celtics was 6th in PnRs.
