Wait Durant personally spoke with the upper echelons of the 76ers management? What is Durant saying as a member of the Nets? "Don't trade for Harden?" "What is Ben like as a teammate?" What could Durant have to say?

My guess could be construed as tampering, to be honest

Ok makes some sense. The Nets management goes to KD and says Harden wants out and we are thinking of trading him to the 76ers. KD goes woe woe woe I want to talk to Ben to see where his mind is at. So a call is made to 76ers management on behalf of KD. Hey guys before we make this trade KD wants to chat with Ben would that be cool? And Ben says "Hey KD I've been working on my game it gonna take me a week or two to get into game shape but I am 100% ready to contribute." Trade approved.

Ben Simmons was sending out all kinds of smoke signals. I remember Kevin Hart being interviewed after visiting him and he was like he's hungry he's ready some team is going to get a guy who wants to go out there and prove the haters wrong. I was worried for a moment what if Ben decides to apply himself are we making a mistake? Just goes to show never trust that midget Kevin Hart, lol. Listening to Hart Ben played it off to him like it was a situation with management, the team, and the CS, not any mental health issue, and that he was ready to roll. He probably was telling KD the same thing remember all this mental health stuff only came up when the fines started rolling in.

So yeah KD probably was told by the Nets FO about the trade he then said he wanted to talk to Ben first to see where he was at that point he was told by the Nets to get permission from the Sixers first. Makes sense otherwise, it would be tampering especially since Ben was essentially on the block and the Sixers would be hypersensitive to any contact outside of proper channels.

Another thing is if you can remember last year Simmons sat out the entire playoffs for the Nets due to a back injury. If you also remember the interviews from around that period the coach and teammates all expected him to play. I doubt if they do the deal in the first place had they known Simmons was going to miss the entire season including the playoffs. To me anyways he lied to them about his availability before the trade and I am not sure Durant and Irving ever really trusted him afterward or the organization for that matter.

Apparently Vaughn announced today that Simmons will no longer be in the rotation. So he's essentially not going to play anymore for the Nets. What a complete fall from grace.

Ben and Klutch parted ways today. No announcement on a new agent.

I don't see Ben playing in the NBA after his contract is over.

If Simmons knows what I know then there is only one guy left to represent him. Raymond Brothers. That is the agent of the downtrodden. He'll get Ben back to an average player and then get him paid.

I wonder how Klutch is perceived after their handling of this.

Did RealGM get rid of the Wiretap discussion? Can't comment on front page stories anymore.

There is a little chat icon at the foot of the story. Press it and post.

I think he should take a break. Consider playing in EU, step away from all the distraction and focus on coming back as a much better player in a much better place as a person.

He already took a break for like a year and a half.

I dont know why nobody has mentioned this. But didnt all of this happened when there was a rumor about his sister and his steph brother had some sexual harrasment issue? Since then he has been on a steep decline.

Yes, but he's played well since then.

Real talk it's rare to four player to look as athletic on the basketball court after any type of back surgery. I watched him earlier in the year when he was actually trying I think, and his athleticism was was faded and he's very stiff.

I think he does have some kinda pain. Of course he's got psych issues. That's been clear since he refused to shoot the ball. But, he is so stiff comparably.

BTW this is where I think he really got hurt.... The fall in the all star game starting 52 seconds

Ben Simmons supposedly has pinched nerve issues with his back. Unlike Larry Johnson who reinvented his game after his back problems. Simmons Probabiy done. He has no motivation to reinvent anything.
