Based on that video, Maluach is going to bite on every pump fake and foul out of half his games.

I bookmarked it to the relevant part of the Tre evaluation.

EDIT: different video, the first one was his brief defensive highlights on the season.

I thought all the Ben pre-game threes would've dissuaded Sixers fans from taking those videos seriously lol

Ace Bailey is the pick. Cooper,Harper and Ace that order after that it's swinging for fences.

After the last few hours of news from the combine, I'm leaning towards Tre Johnson at #3 overall. Even better if we're able to trade down one or two spots and still take him.

This guy has SGA potential.

You might have a point if I didn't just watch a 15 minute highlight video of him making long three after long three with a hand in his face in games.

SGA? Tre was a flamethrower from 3 this year. SGA shot under two 3s per game at UK. SGA was also living at the line while Tre struggles to draw fouls.

I see Tre more like Hield, maybe Jamal Murray type.

Tre was seen as a great shooter but a bad athlete. His agility and vert numbers are elite. There´s no reason why he cant be a decent defender with his size and ability, and probably a good driver too. He´s my pick( or Bailey). If you pick Edgecombe you are hoping he develops a decent offensive game. WHy not pick Tre then? His shooting game is elite, that cant be taught.

I don't care about the NBA combine drills. Doesn't really give you a ton based on their actual functional athleticism vs just watching.

Let me know when the wingspans start coming in! That comes #2 on my scouting list, right before some of those "full game highlight" reels. Only thing more important is vibes! Do the guys I respect like him and do I buy it?

Queen´s agility and vert numbers are pretty bad. Hes already a bit undersized, doesnt bode well for him...

So is the obligatory white guy to white guy comp for Kon Joe Ingles?

Good size, feel, passing, shooting. Questionable upside due to athleticism (although Ingles has the wingspan to make up for it).

How am I doing?

Based on the picks we've made with Morey, I think these guys are out:

Ace Bailey: terrible analytics
Tre Johnson: low 2FG%, bad defense
Jeremiah Fears: roster construction (subject to change if one of Maxey/McCain are traded)

If for whatever reason Harper fell, it'd likely be him as the pick. Otherwise, I think Edgecombe or Kon make the most sense statistically. I think Morey values players who can finish at the bucket.

I think Morey is going with the player who is most likely to become a star.

I do not know who that player is lol

He’s a terrible defender.

Morey may not even have a say for all we know lol Jameer Nelson rising the ranks and Elton being in other job searches, could be a sign of a new guard ready to come in and retire the former "Wizard"

Let me clarify. A better shooting, lesser driving version of SGA. Same size and similar length + athleticism.

Just like SGA became a better 3PT shooter over time, Tre can get better at driving. His flamethrowing from outside will open up the rest of his game.

Whomever we pick, can we put them in a padded room between the ending of SL and the beginning of training camp?
