The Lavine contract is one of the worst on the league, has a 15% trade bonus, is just on his second year and he's constantly injured.

Unless you're a top player, like Kawhi or Embiid, it seems logical no one wants to touch that.

I doubt the Bulls are faking the injury as it would make him even harder to trade. And i think this last injury make the prospect of a contender trying to get him, impossible.

I never had a single bad feeling toward Harden. He came in here and gave us an entertaining year and a half and a legit shot to compete (even if it ended badly), helped greatly with Maxey's development, and played a part in getting Glenn the hell out of here. I'd like to see him get a ring and Kawhi get another one.

I should caveat that I disliked Harden before he even came to Philly so it’s not really about his exit here. I found his foul baiting tactics in Houston extremely annoying so I’m a long time hater.

So you are also an Embiid hater, interesting.

This is off topic, baiting, and does not adding thing of value to this discussion. Do better or don’t post.

The Clippers I believe have just completed a 25-5 run wich something like 5 or 6 teams have done in NBA history. Can we put the Harden hate aside and admit they are probably co-favorites with the Celtics to win it all? Harden in LA is just like Porzingis in Boston. Much less pressure being the number 3 option. If they can stay healthy they are scary because they have everything. Three elite shot creators, a solid dedicated 3 and D guy (and in addition to that Leonard is a stellar defender when he wants to be as is Paul George), a good sixth man, bigs that do the dirty work, and a good coach.

Who's the solid dedicated 3 and D guy?

I just really hesitate to believe in a team where Harden is this important & holds so much responsibility in their offense. He’s had too many playoff collapses. Also, Zubac is the exact type of center that gets exposed in the playoffs.

I’d still give Denver the edge over them but they probably have the 3rd best championship odds.

My only real questions about the trade deadline are whether the Pistons' bizarre lust for Tobias will inspire a trade (which I doubt since they can simply sign him next summer) and if Silver and the NBA will be able to wrangle a last second deal to get the Lakers more talent than their modest available talent and picks should realistically be able to produce.

why exactly would we hate Harden? dude just wanted his money. I'm rooting for the clippers to win it all and I'm looking forward to them beating the Nuggets and the Celtics on their way there.

I'm not rooting for or against Harden. That team lives or dies with Kawhi, anyway. I would absolutely root for them in a theoretical Finals matchup with Boston, though.

He spread rumors about him wanting to leave all season creating drama around the team all year & was rumored to have essentially quit on the team at the end of that Boston series.

He was a fine Sixers & I don’t harbor a ton of ill will from his time here but let’s not pretend like there aren’t reasons for people to dislike him.

Nobody here dislikes or hates Harden. I wasn't really a fan of his in Houston, but I never hated the guy. It's a shame things ended the way they did here with him, but it was the right move to make. He wanted to be paid and there was no way we should have been obligated to do it. It wasn't even his playoff performance that soured things for me. He had two 40 point games against Boston. It was more about his age and how paying him was going to hold the franchise hostage had it been done. I'm glad he's doing well in LA. I like the Clippers, always have.

Wow, just saw the Utah-Raptors trade. Is Toronto trying to win this year? Ainge continues to cook.

Its a very good deal for New York. Grimes is out of favor. They just added one of the best Three point shooters in the league on high volume and a serviceable combo guard. We probably could have outbid that with one first round pick and matching salary but apparently we need five first round picks this offseason for the Monty Hall prize behind door 3 which is just as likely to be a goat as a brand new car! Darly Morey = Monty Hall lol.
