Draft Day Shenanigans (IV)

So now we transition to FA, with basically our roster set with our 3rd PG spot open (probably Lowry as a mentor?) and a T-MLE exception for a big forward?

PG: Maxey, McCain, Lowry(?)
SG: Grimes, VJ Edgecombe, Gordon, Hunter (2-way)
SF: Oubre, Edwards, Ricky IV
PF: George, T-MLE, Broome, Reese (2-way)
C: Embiid, Bona, Drummond

Replace Lowry with Butler. And I don't think we use the T-MLE since we already will have 14 players and we usually leave a spot open, plus we need breathing room under the 2nd Apron after resigning Grimes.

Maybe it was because I watched less games as we went full tank mode - wasn't Lonnie Walker a much better player than Buter? I think he LW played a good bit of PG and was okay. He's also under club option for this year.

I think Butler is better than Walker and Butler is also more of a pure PG, which we otherwise don't have once Lowry is gone. I think we also have an option on Butler too.

You don't save cap space if you have too few players because you get charged a cap hold and then have to replace them. Anyway the issue isn't cap space, it's staying under the 2nd Apron, which is why Butler's small min deal helps.

First off...Ainge is a prick. We all know this. But...Utah is honestly the best place for Bailey to start his career. Aine is an immovable object and Bailey and his camp will not win this with a holdout. His best bet is to show up, go to work, do his thing and get paid.

This is the logical problem, that Morey yet again overvalues his assets.
