129.8 with Dario at center according to NBAwowy, but they have different figures on the other guys (Jah 133.3, Richaun 129.4, Amir 99.2, Joel 97.7). Not sure if something is off with their database right now.

May have not updated, they seem to take a while to.

Seems up to date, but just off. At least their minutes data is, so I wonder what else (might just be issues with rounding numbers).

I was using BBR. Wouldn't be the first time I saw slightly different numbers between the two.

Basic point stands.

How are we in the middle of the pack in defense then when you add Simmons who is also good on defense? Is this a Brett Brown defense thing? How are the Celtics so much better on D than us? Even with black hole Saric on D I think we should be better on D. It makes no sense. We have 3 good defenders in our starting five and TJ is good on D too.

With Embiid 96.4. Without him 110.5. He's missed 2 games too, out of 14. That's going to affect our DRtg when it's so high without him.

It is funny that what was once thought to be a strength, back up center, is a complete hell hole now. You would think among Okafor, Noel, Holmes and Amir, we'd have a decent back up center that can man the post while Embiid sits. Back up center is a huge problem right now. It probably will continue to be a problem at least for this season. I don't hold out much hope that Holmes, Amir or Okafor will improve drastically on defense. Good news is we may have help on the way next season with Lessort, Bolden and maybe a high draft pick or two.

You did forget Pasecniks, but who knows when he will come over and be ready, although he was our other first round pick this year that everyone seems to forget.

As far as D, just an eye test but JJ shouldn't be playing this many mins. Its a career high mins for JJ, along with Bayless playing a career high before he got hurt. Career high mins for TJ also since Bayless got hurt. We just have to wait on Markelle (there is a reason why we drafted him) cause we can't depend on JJ playing 33 mins a game, and really he shouldn't have to play all those mins.

well I dont think that was the plan coming in, but then Fultz went down... and then when Bayless went down that ramped up the need for JJ's minutes even more.

I think had fultz been healthy this whole time, his MPG would be around 24 to 26 with it slowly increasing to probably around 28 or 30

Once we get him back, it'll allow more rest of the other guys

I will probably lose my ****, when we see another incredible performance from Joel. After all these dark years, I am still not used to be happy again. It feels kinda strange.

He didn’t have a great game against the Warriors last time. If he is dominant again tonight it will be a beautiful thing.

Embiid better not let Kevon Looney shut him down again.

I meant the last two games against both LA teams.

He better be ready for the Warriors double and triple teaming him... and ready to pass out of it. You can guarantee the Warriors are going to try make someone else beat them.

That's going to be the next stage in his development.

No, I know. I just meant that it would be amazing if he was dominant for a third straight game,l given the fact that he is playing the best team in the league, and didn’t play well the last time they played.

When I watch Embiid, I cant help to think he looks like Gronkowski. When these guys hit the floor, it always looks ugly and seems like an injury waiting to happen. They both go down hard and they always look shook up. Gronk has been injured almost half of his career and I just hope the same thing doesnt happen with Embiid...

I think that we all hold our breath when he goes down, but I think he has clearly improved in this area. He goes down less than he did last year, and I would much rather him fall and roll than have those scary landings on his legs that he had last year.

This is nothing we already didn’t know but here it is.

Norm Roberts: “Joel didn’t want to enter the draft. He sat in my office in tears. He kept saying, ‘I don’t want to go. I don’t want to go. Call my mom and dad and tell them I want to stay.’ Then it was like, ‘Joel, you’re going to be a top three pick. You could be the No. 1 pick.’

“Luc, his mentor, said, ‘Norm, how could this kid not go in the draft when he’s going to be a top-three pick? How am I going to go back to his country and tell them that I told him to wait? What if something happens with his back or his foot? How can Joel do that and let his country down?’ He said that, and Joel was sitting right there. We all got up and started walking out of my office, and Joel turned around and looked at me and said, ‘Coach, can I call Coach Self? I’m going to have to go. I’ve gotta go, Coach. I’ve gotta go.’ I said, ‘OK, big fella. OK.’”
