I would predict a sweep if it's the Knicks, at worst 4-1 because variance. Their defense would get murder by OKC and some of their offense would struggle.

The Pacers could extend the series to 6 if OKC has trouble defending on transition.

Yeah, in theory the Pacers can put up a fight but I think OKC’s defense is pretty much designed in a lab to stop the Pacers. They have excellent matchups on all their best offensive players and their ballhawk nature could lead to a lot of turnovers against a Pacers team that likes to make crosscourt passes.

Dort will be a big test for Hali to see if he can withstand that level of physicality and ball pressure for an entire series.

ZION accused of rape 5 years ago at Duke! Not likely a viable option in trade now...

That Towns trade was a bad one for the Knicks. He has not been good in the playoffs.

Now maybe they’ll take a broken down choker in return!

You know what? I think in this case I'll keep the "broken down choker".

Meh. Zion's contract is UNG if it all goes off the rails. Also gold diggers are real, unlike birds.

Is the broken down choker Embiid or George?

Yeah, I'd rather keep Embiid at this point. Guilty or not, any team that has Zion is going to have to deal with that stigma for the rest of his career. The last thing this team needs IMO is more controversy and negative attention.

Agreed but the problem is that stars always seem to "get old" as soon as we acquire them at least ones that we didn't draft.

Maybe OKC trades Topic and Ousmaine for Trey Murphy or Herbert Jones for the much coveted back to back championships?

When asked about trading Simmons for Haliburton, Morey made a comment like: "People keep asking me about random players." And we were writing here back then that Haliburton was good and had great potential.

So Indiana goes to the Finals led by Haliburton and Siakam, and in the meantime we had max contract players like regular season role player Tobias Harris, old and choker James Harden, perpetually injured Joel Embiid, washed PG...I guess we reap what we sow.

But now there is an opportunity for a nice reset since Morey's ability to draft seems to be a direct inverse of his ability to sign and trade for actual stars lol.

The problem is the player Morey wants will still be available at 6 or 7.

Also, I'm not positive Morey learned any lesson; but he is talking about getting younger and more athletic, so maybe?

There's only 2 members of the 2017 Rockets left in the league that haven't played in Philly. I think we waited him out, he's gotta do something new.

Another notable thing about George's value is how huge a part the hauls that the two NBA finals teams got in return when trading him played in them both being where they are today. In essence, moving George led to both IND and OKC finding the centerpiece of their current teams.

Anybody remember when Haliburton said he was told he was traded from the Kings to the ‘ers? Getting Harden for Simmons (+++) seemed sort of a reasonable move at the time, but there was considerable chat about going after the young pg with MORE coming our way throughout Ben’s holdout.
