I think it is the perception and values. I do not think americans need that much money (actually when I am in US and go to a market it is always surprising to me to see how things are cheap). In croatia we are still formed also with a socialist mentality although we actually had a war to get rid of communist party. Nevertheless it is still mostly considered bad taste to show of the money and there is a strong conviction is sport circles that becoming a victor and raising trophies somehow makes you immortal and entering into a history is something you can not pay with money. This is the reason I think Dario will agree to a pretty nice contract given that it is not entirely disrespectful and if it contains a no sell clause (because less money shows loyalty and then he will ask for the same loyalty from the Sixers). This is though all a speculation.

I think he has a very similar mentality to Luka Modric (soccer player) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luka_Modri%C4%87. Luka now signed third largest contract in Real Madrid, although he was the MVP of the world cup and after the leave of Ronaldo is considered to be the best player in the team. He has around 10 mil euros per year (and a tax in Spain is > 50% i think), he considers himself a rich person, but he also has a shot at winning 5 league of the champions cementing himself in a football history.

Saric turned it around in November of last year. He better show some immediate improvement this month or else we gotta start getting concerned.

Going on record the guy shoots 36% or below from 3 this year. He’s at 24% through 10 games.

It's not just 3. He can't do one thing right on the court. I mean if he doesn't start turning it around in 3-5 games and still plays as always that Brett should go.

Shamet should replace him in the starting lineup. If he throws a fit, show him his lack of production so far this season.

Fultz
Shamet
Covington
Simmons
Embiid
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Edgecombe/Grimes/Gordon
George/Oubre/Edwards
Bona/Watford/Barlow
Embiid/Drummond/Broome

I'm a great Dario fan, but I'm not blind and Dario is playing really poorly at the start fo this season.

3 points shots are not a big deal imho: RoCo made just 28 of his first 100 shots during the first 13 games of 2016-2017 season.
But I think he bounced back, right?

The concern is that Saric seems to be overweight and he appears mentally out of the game-flow.
He seems hurt, and I wonder if that lower back soreness who sidelined him during the preseason finale was worse than expected.

Anyway, his fitness is atrocious and this is the real problem right now.

But don't count the Homie out too quickly.

Covington offers good defense aside from his 3pt shooting, Dario is a liability on D and useless if he is not hitting 3s, this is the issue. With Covington it sucked that he couldn't make them but most of the time still ended with positive impact overall.

I was only comparing the two similar shooting slumps not to the overall impact of the two players.

I think he gets the rest of this week. If he doesn’t break out of his funk, insert Muscala or JJ into the starting lineup and make Dario earn his spot back.

He'll come around. This is a usual slump for him a the beginning of each season. He'll be the best when most needed. Around playoffs.

Be prepare to watch Saric get plenty playing time, Muscala is out atleast a week now because of a fractured nose and facial lacerations. He will wear a mask once he returns. I guess practice got really physical.

True. Psychology, it’s relative income/status.

And u dont need much money to retire comfortably in europe. Life is simpler there.
