Come on guys get the Eric Snow train rolling. For anyone who lives in Philly I got Mike Missanelli to mention him on air from an email I sent him, we need to get his name out there. I might be crazy but the guy is everything we need and he played under Larry Brown.

Here are the moves I predict LB makes to retool the Sixers in his image:

The ultimate LB rehab job:

Kapono + Lou + Thad -> Arenas

Speights + Smith-> Maxiel

Sign Theo, Hughes, AI (yes, AI)

Draft Udoh

Resign Sam and Willie 4 more years
---------------------------------

Starters: Jrue/Arenas/Iguodala/Brand/Sam
Bench: AI/WG/Hughes/Maxiel/Theo/Udoh(no minutes his 1st year)

Not sure who is their reserve SF. Maybe resign Carney or find some other Jumaine Jones like LB cast off?

It might sound crazy (an the cap situation would be), but you have to admit... that is a LB team. 2 chuckers who are "uncoachable" (Arenas and AI) and a bunch of defense first, high character, high motor muckers and grinders... and Sam and Udoh as the twin tower projects.

And every one of those moves could easily happen, and work under the cap.

You have to admit, it would sort of remind you of:

Snow/AI/Mckie/Hill/Theo

Yup.

Although, Brown had different teams elsewhere. Indiana had a more traditional team model. So did the Clippers I believe. We don't have to have an undersized shooting guard again...

I mean I love AI as much as the next Sixers fan from that time period, but I don't ever want to build a team like that again.

So with the report that the Sixers will not offer Larry Brown anything other than the coaching job and Brown saying he won't coach for anyone other than MJ, I'm having serious doubts that LB comes back unless his wife and kids pressure him to return home.

In which case he would be happy here for how long? Maybe 50 games?

Tom Moore is reporting that Stefanski has contacted Doug Collins' agent to set up an interview. I wonder if this is a sign that word is getting back to the Sixers that LB is out or is this just a case of Stefanski moving in one direction while Snider moves in another.

Anyone see Dwight Howards comment about what Ewing said about his foul trouble.

http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/o ... 3571.story

Howard basically said Ewing told him it was worse than he ever saw as a player. Now, I know its not a direct quote, but compare that with the Van Gundy quote "He needs to make smarter decisions."

Don't get me wrong, a coach should stick up for his players to the officials (Did Eddie Jordan get a single technical while here? I never saw one.) but the different attitude in teaching your players to deal with adversity neatly summarizes why I would be happy with any Van Gundy (even Jeff senior), but can't say a Ewing tenure would make me comfortable.

Besides, Dick Bavetta will be in the league for another 5 to 25 years...

That is not exactly the greatest of praise IMO.

I'm still more worried about management (8 coaches in 8 years and quick fix mentality) more than individual coaches.

Does Scott Johnson and Frank sound like a law form to anyone else?

(or an X-Rated movie, but we're trying to keep things kid friendly here).

Collins is my least wanted candidate. I'm already so sick of this franchise, if we hired Collins, that might be it for me with this team for a long time.

This franchise hasn't done anything to warrant positivity.

The true fans deal with whatever **** happens and hope for the best. I know it sucks, but the Sixers could be a much worse team. If we make the right moves this summer the team could really turn around.

LOL! I get the negativity BUT you're always saying that you're done with this team. I mean, if the team hires someone other than Collins and keeps Stefanski, you're out anyway because you said you were through until ES was gone.

I disagree. I think true fans are the ones that stand up and say they aren't going to take it anymore and walk away. You have to send your franchise a message that this nonsense is unacceptable.

I also heard some quote on WIP that made me even angrier. Something about the team only needing minor tweaks and things really aren't that bad and they made the right decisions for the most part.

When I used to think about the Sixers, it used to make me happy. Now, I have nothing but rage when I think about them. I love the Sixers as the team that represents my city, but as far as the roster and management goes... I hate them with a passion. Everything about them except maybe 3 players on the team and DiLeo. This is their own doing, and the attendance shows represents that.

If we hire Doug Collins, I'm going to seriously consider just forgetting about them until Snider is gone. It's up in the air right now, because I do think Collins could get us back into the lottery which is what we need as a franchise IMO. But I just think he is the epitome of mediocre as a coach and not much better than Jordan.

But I know you hate Stiff as much as I do. Doesn't the fact that he is picking the coach just burn you up? Snider is turning a beautiful franchise into complete and utter slop by the year. This just can't be allowed to continue.
