Depending on what we do in next year's draft, I think he could be a viable short-term acquisition with a potential high return.

I'd totally be open to a reunion with Jrue.

His March 2016 numbers (13 games)

21.2 PPG, 6.7 APG, 3.3 RPG, 2.5 SPG, 1.8 BPG, 42.7 FG%, 93.5 FT%

Obviously injuries are a concern, but he had some really nice games towards the end of the year. 38 and 34 points in two games.

Me too. If we strike out on a PG in the next draft, we could do a lot worse than Jrue.

Bryan, according to the WT, said on SiriusXM that other teams were "trying to poach a big man" from the Sixers. I take that to read all low ball offers because the whole league knows he'll have to deal one. Bad news.

Every year fans and teams fall in love with seniors having great seasons dominating 17 year olds.

I didn't think he'd be this bad but the upside for me was never these relative to where he was going to be drafted.

Spurs are interested in Greg Monroe, after acquiring Pau Gasol.

Spurs keeps trying to get these big mobile PFs that teams don't want. While they don't seem to have a defensive anchor C or they call as rim protector C. When you have elite to atleast very good defensive wings in Danny Green and kawhi, you can have elite defense despite having these bigs. These bigs allows you to counter small ball. Wings who can play D at their level allows you to play these type of bigs.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

Thing is, Spurs have no way of getting Monroe. Salary matching rules for trades and all that. (see Spurs salaries at http://en.hispanosnba.com/salaries/teams/san-antonio-spurs). They aren't moving Tony Parker or Danny Green or even Manu (loyalty) - but they would need to (along with a couple of other pieces) to match Monroe's salary.

The Spurs being interested in Monroe has been reported only by Sam Amico. The guy isn't perfect and before taking it too serious, I would want to hear it from elsewhere (and that doesn't mean sites repeating his info).

USA Select team practice videos, great experience for Jahlil Okafor (only non contact exercises) and Jerami Grant.

He didn't become garbage in summer league. He wasn't a good prospect to begin with. When guys right here were saying Valentine is a better prospect than Hield, it was poo poo'd.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

I find it hilarious what the celtics are doing this off-season. I think they now have 62 players on their current roster.
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Edgecombe/Grimes/Gordon
George/Oubre/Edwards

I think he’s really matured as a person,” Colangelo said. “He understood after going through some early struggles with us he was going to have to get himself ready to play, fit in and make adjustments, and he did all of that. “So he shows up to camp here in great shape. He’d been working for some time to get himself in shape. And attitude-wise, he’s in great shape, in my opinion. This is something he really wants. I just wish he could take part of the culture we have established here and take it back it home with him. It would help their entire organization

So, Colangelo just insulted the basketball culture in Sac, as run by basketball man Vlade Divac.

Potential trade targets for Okafor/Noel are drying up. Besides maybe Boston, who else might be a good trading partner?

No to Boston.

CHI, NYK, NOP, IND, PHX are all possibilities for Okafor IMO.

I think it's unlikely at this point that anything gets done before the season starts.

OT: I think the Sixers really ought to be pushing to extend Noel even if they overpay him. He is the insurance policy for Embiid and all. Also trade value just in case.

With McCollum just getting the max, I bet Noel doesn't take a penny less. And why should he? He's 3 years younger and has more upside.

One year ago no one would trade Noel for McCollum. Now just about everyone would. It shows that any year a young talented player can make a huge jump, just like McCollum did this past season.

McCollum was always talented. He was just injured his first 2 years and has finally been able to get on the court. Very different situation than Noel. Who ever pays noel that much money will be in serious trouble.

His first 2 years were bad, he was injured, but also played over 1400 minutes.

I'd have wanted to see more to pay him that much (EDIT: corrected below).

Consider Noel a more proven commodity tbh.

It was being reported as a max extension, so if the cap goes up for next year the extension will go up with it and be off the cap number next year.

The only thing this did was make sure Portland got him for 4 years with no options, versus potentially a 3+1PO deal or even shorter.

Harkless gets 4 years and $42 million, Paul Allen clearly has no fear of the tax line. I'm not sure if he bought much better than a treadmill team, but they sure paid a lot for it.

Yeah Portland has like 50 million per year tied up in Harkless, Myers Leonard, Evan Turner and Crabbe for the next 4 years.

Would anybody even be that surprised if the Blazers backslid from last season? I wouldn't be and that's my issue.
