The best that he can be

Luke Ridnour is sort of the best case scenario I have for him. Bad defender. Not much of a scorer. Terrific passer and pure PG.

Sergio is sort of a given, he's a very focused and experienced PG, who can bring you elite passing, good shooting and playmaking, while being bad on defence. I hope they will let him run the show, at least when he's on the court.

I expect him to show the team how to run the 'Pick-and-roll' properly for one year.

I think he'll be a fun player to watch. Run the offense, get our guys good looks, hit open shots, make a couple fancy plays per game. And to be about on par defensively with Ish Smith (not very good).

He'll probably be a veteran 3rd string but if McConnell can't get it done then he'll be playing.

PG rotation Bayless, McConnell, Sergio

I really like McConnell but Sergio is better than him. He's good off the bench and it's better to have him run the offence once Simmons gets his rest, but he's probably better than Bayless too.

The backcourt has to be muddled, because the frontcourt is muddled and Simmons plays 1 thru 5. Sergio should be better the McConnell, but my guess is Bayless will log more minutes than either. Brown needs to be a McGenius to get these combo's and rotations to jell. But it better to have talent, at least, for a change.

I think Sergio is definitely the best PG out of this group, I personally expect him to start, or at least have a big role off the bench.

Sergio doesn't start on Real Madrid, although he gets starter minutes. He's brought in off the bench after studying the flow and trends to either put the boot on the throat or clean up the mess. Could play similar role here.

Don't know if he will be a starter or not, but he is by FAR the best Sixer at PG. And he is not comming here to play back up minutes for Bayless and TJ.
When this account gets more "And1"s than posts written ...then my life will be complete. And maybe it will be the right time to hang it up. (Achieved on 2017-2018 season)...but still here.

Do ever have seen Sergio play in last years? He is a great shooter, decent shot creator...runs pretty well the fastbreak...and a pure PG...with all of these skills...what he have in common with Ridnour?
He was a decent combo guard with great shooting, not much more.
Sergio only issue is his defense, but he isn't that bad as someone think.
In a scale of 1-10, where 1 is Calderón and the 10 Chris Paul, he is probably below the middle , on the 3.
So he is a bad defender but can stand at least in front of his pairing. Also, uses to make a ton of steals.
If he plays minimum 25 minutes I will not be much surprised seeing him average a 10 ppp & 10app on a decent efficiency.

Yeah, Sergio only averaged 11 and 6 in 24 mpg in International play. Perhaps he meant per 100 possessions? Not sure how stats are presented elsewhere, but on nbawowy for instance ppp stands for points per possession which extrapolates to per 100 possessions, 10 and 10 makes more sense in that context.

To his point, Ridnour has been awful for a while. The only way that comparison makes sense is if you're comparing 30 year old Ridnour to 30 year old Rodriguez as his best cast scenario for this season, he wasn't so bad in that particular season.

I like McConnell but his TOV was 22.5 which is well awful (league average is 14.4). For comparison, Ish had a TOV of 14.

That was what I was aiming for. Ridnour was someone who could hit the open shot when it was given to him but wasn't a scorer. Couldn't defend to save his life but was a terrific pure PG.

I thought it was apt but whatever I'm not going to argue with someone if they have a better comparable.

Ridnour was an above average backup and a below average starter. Based on what you're saying, Sergio will be much better? So an average starter, around the level of Holiday, Teague, etc. I really doubt that.
