BC needs to get in on this and try to get Smart or Bradley.

http://insider.espn.com/nba/insider/story/_/id/19807705/will-gordon-hayward-help-boston-celtics-get-cavaliers-lebron-james-nba
To get all the way to Hayward's max, the Celtics would have to trade at least one of their players making more than $2 million, a group that includes starters Avery Bradley, Jae Crowder, Al Horford and Isaiah Thomas, recent No. 3 picks Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum and sixth man Marcus Smart.

Hayward is making more money than Durant and Kawhi. He is a good player but he isn't capable of being the best player on a championship team. The only path to a championship Boston has is if one of their young players develops into an MVP candidate.

You don't want Marcus Smart, trust me, he's awful. We don't want their trash our roster is fine. Unless it's a 3-way deal to move Okafor.

These days where it takes 3(maybe 4 now) superstars to win, he may not even be the 3rd best player on a championship team.

For example, he's not as good as any of the Cavs big 3, and he isn't as good as any of the Warriors big 4.

Hayward is a 4 time all-star now. Between the Great White Hope of Boston and the hordes of Bostonites in the national media and the Eastern talent drain, it assures him all-star berths as long as he is in Boston. Almost no matter what his stats are.

I still don't think they are good enough to beat Cleveland. But LBJ doesn't care as much this year and probably has one foot out the door again. So you never know.

Cleveland is gonna be soooo apathetic this year. Everyone knows LeBron is bolting. It wouldn't surprise me if they failed to make it out of the East.

No, no. Marcus is not good and I'm not helping Ainge get Hayward. Let someone else do it.

Now, if he wants Okafor for Bradley...

I would take Smart in a second. Cut Stauskus for him, and give Boston a protected future first, or 2 seconds.

Smart is a good player, that still has upside.

Otto Porter agrees with deal to Nets. Wiz have to choose to match.

Makes much more sense for Nets than Jazz.

Trade Stauskas. Problem solved. Smart would be great for us.

We could then cut or buyout Bayless after this year too.

As much as I like Smart though, it would probably mess up the ability to extend Covington this year.

Are we only able to use our cap space to extend Covington, or can we go all the way up to the tax line?

Cap. Wouldn't expect any more moves that eat into cap space this summer.

Obviously I'm a Marcus Smart fan, but he's due for an extension really soon. We gonna lock-up both Covington and Smart to multiyear market value deals? Financial flexibility evaporates really quickly once you start locking up good, but non needle mover players into multiyear deals.

I want Crowder. How can they swap Okafor for Crowder please?
