They must really suck in the G League or Doc is a stone cold idiot. Wonder which is more likely.

The G-League is like an organized scrimmage to a large degree, but your second point is still clearly more likely.

No such thing as a rookie hot hand. Doc too smart to be fooled.

Watching the G league finals game 1. Springer looks like he's going to be a contributor. Think I was wrong on him. The 2 pt free throw should absolutely be used in the NBA. Maybe I'm getting old but each trip to the line just takes too long and that would help shorten the game and improve the flow.

Defensive beast that has some playmaking upside and is a WIP offensively. I think if he corrals that 3 off the catch, he'll be a valuable rotation player from day one.

A coach with vision might keep Springer's defense in his back pocket for a possible spot in the playoffs where it might come in handy.
Glenn will have to be told after the fact that Springer was even on the bench.

Probably a trade asset. If he can used to flip Tobias for some more useful pieces I'll be okay with it, but I do think even a green Springer provides some value to a winning team. He can really defend.

What is Bassey’s shoulder situation?

What difference does it make?
Glenn still is yet to be properly introduced to him.

Doc definitely is unaware of Bassey's existence. When he sees him around the facility, he probably thinks he's Elton Brand's nephew or something.

I'm an unabashed Myles Powell fan, but I'd drop him for Sam Merrill. This dude is an NBA shooter and will eventually be a role player in the league. 6'5 and quick trigger. Worth a 2-way contract for sure.

Re: Delaware Bluecoats Discussion
Springer would be already less lost on offense than Thybulle. And his defense might be less flashy but more valuable if he can be a Lowry/Smart/Beverley type POA pest who can also annoy bigger players who try to bully him with underrated strength.
He should be the Thybulle replacement from day 1 next year.

Just like Maxey sort of gives us what we were hoping for in Fultz, I’m thinking that Springer could be what we were hoping for out of Zhaire.

Re: Delaware Bluecoats Discussion
Springer looks like hes gotten taller. I could be wrong but as the last game was ending the camera centered in on the 76ers as they left the court Springer looked closer to matisse 6'5 height than Isaiah joe and Maxey who are both listed as 6'3. Springer was listed as 6'4 when he was drafted at 18.
I could be reaching and it could be just the angle of the camera.

We could all use a couple more inches…

He's still only 19 so the idea of him growing really isn't farfetched. Looking forward to getting an extended look at him in summer league to get a better read on how he's developing.phillynative wrote:Springer looks like hes gotten taller.
