Victor with whoever has the number 1 pick or Luka if the Mavs goes bottoms ends and he wants out.

Both options seem great imo

Sooner or later when people start to realise this is the definition of a treadmill team it’s better just to start fresh.

And Victor/Luka are right there as top tier options.

Look love Embiid but the writing has been on the wall for ages now

Im remaining stoic and gonna maintain my Bum Adebayo mentality

But seriously, we need to run this for 2 more years.

If we need to trade Maxey or Harden then we have to do it, but its too early to do it now.

I was right there with you... just held out hope he had a big move with Ben ready....it was just get harden and hope he carries again.

this dude is supposed to be the smartest guy in the room and yet after last season he decided to get slower, less ballhandling, and also smaller.

we fixed none of the problems we had last year and made our flaws even worse.

It blows my mind really.

Hopefully moves happen in 10 days but holy ****.

He was brought in as someone people argued was the NBA's best GM. Since he came to Philly all he's done outside of a few moves is bring back ex-Rockets who are now several years older than they were when they were one of the west's top teams. Has he been awful? No. But the expectation was a creative guy who could make things happen. And he's been one of the most predictable guys in the league. If you played on those Rockets teams, you can predict you'll wind up in Philly. He's done nothing overly creative. Nothing outside the box. Has shown no propensity to take chances on more athletic guys with high upside.

This was not what we signed up for when he was hired. And people keep lowering the bar to find ways to praise him. If people keep lowering the bar that much, that should tell you all you need to know.

And if you're disappointed with him now, wait til he signs Harden to a max contract next year because he verbally agreed to it behind the scenes. This fan base is gonna want this guy out of town so fast it'll make your head spin. Because right now everyone's ire is focused on Doc Rivers, so Morey is sliding under the radar. When Harden gets maxed out in a year oooooh boy is that going to change. It will be a sight to behold how fast he'll become public enemy #1 in this town.

As far as Morey goes, yes most of his moves haven't panned out thus far which is disappointing but I'm going to withhold my final judgement on his tenure here until he is able to move the one major piece remaining (aside from Embiid) that he inherited from his predecessor/now underling. We all know who that is.

So we got another "Chris Webber" in James Harden for our new "Allen Iverson" .... I think we all know how story goes after this ...

Not completely related, Shake Milton reminds me a lot of Aaron Mckie back in the days

offensively, we need to keep the ball moving like what we’ve been doing recently. Harden was OK in the first half but he clearly need to share the ball with Milton, Melton or Tobi.

We also have to settle this problem of Biid at the elbow and throwing a very predictable pass when doubled.

Defensively, we need someone to clean the board after Biid goes up to challenge the shot or atleast help Embiid on the defensive end. Tobi and Tucker aren’t those guys.

Do we really need Tucker on this game? He’s guarding Jabari Smith Jr. who’s like a 6’10 Steve Novak or Jalen Green who shoots 3s like Thybulle where you can just put Reed on both of them.

I dont think there’s any scheme to solve the rebounding problem, maybe a temporary band aid but when we face bigs teams like the Cavs or the Bucks it will continue to get exposed.

Is it just me but I think the Biid-Harden PnR is too clunky.

Biid just stays at the elbow that denies the driving lane for Harden. Biid rarely rolls or tries to catch lobs, which frees up the ball handler (think Trae Young and Capela).

Lol I should have included the green font, just trying to be funny. Never mind me lol.

I agree with your assessment. Another over the hill former star being paired with our current superstar. Only to see assets wasted and any semblance of hope diminishing.

Embiid again our best player by far, with 39 points, 12/21 from the floor and a team high +8 in a 9 point loss, he was winning when he was on the floor, not his fault the rest of the team sucks.

I didnt said this until today, but it is the moment to fire Rivers.

What a disaster vs the worst team of the league, what a dissapointing season.

Games were so much better when we were expected to lose and we played well win or lose. And I get it's Hardens first game back, and I get there is a lot of rust, but this is a very disappointing performance. Everyone seems so out of sync.

For some reason, I really like this team and have fun watching them. But I’ve fully accepted that we’re pretenders again. We are just a bad organization top to bottom. Mediocre draft results, poor player development, bad/stubborn coaching, a washed GM that signs his buddies to bloated contracts, superstars who routinely meltdown in the playoffs, etc. You can’t have 4-5 straight years of bad personnel decisions and compete for a title it’s basically impossible.

Maybe the team just finally broke my spirit and I can’t invest in them emotionally anymore lol. But I’m having much more fun now that I’ve given up on caring about a title.

Don't get me wrong, our team has some serious issues that need to be fixed, but losing to the Rockets isn't the season ender that everyone here suggests. They just beat the Suns in Phoenix a few days ago. I wouldn't be surprised if they started going on a run as they get more comfortable with each other and their roles. They are insanely talented.

Not sure how you guys continue to bang your heads against this wall. Unless it's a special kind of masochism, I don't get the bizarre attraction to boring, mediocre basketball with the same garbage, night after night.

And sadly, the next move is a complete teardown, as all the chips have been played. Does Harris have the balls to rip this thing apart after another dispiriting early playoff exit?

They're pot committed at this point and Harris will absolutely sign off on trading more even picks for a Rocket or former Rocket at the deadline.

We're basically screwed unless Maxey takes a legit superstar leap.

I was pounding the table to trade Simmons for Haliburton. When the Sixers traded for Harden instead I assumed Morey had information on Harden having more in the tank than I did. I was wrong.
