If you ever want to assess the level of drive and determination a team has, pay attention to how it plays defense. This team routinely has games in which it takes the night off defensively.

Unfortunately this team is capped and perennial 2nd round fodder, we are a treadmill team, I've come to the conclusion that we need to start again.
Current roster won't cut it, Trade Embiid and rebuild.

The Celtics gave up 150 points against a Shai less OKC this season and they are probably favorites to win it all. I think sometimes these games happen and a Kyrie and Luka explosion was bound to happen unfortunately it was a against the Sixers on national TV. lol. I dont believe they didn't try its just whatever they were trying wasn't working .

Do I believe the sixers are true contenders nope I believe the roster is oddly built and they are a level below the celtics/bucks. But I still consider the team to be dangerous just a bit fools gold defensively. Our best peremiter defender is a 6'1 guard, out best wing defender is 37 y.o undersized PF that may give u a 1 corner 3 offensively. The only rim protection we have is through our best player who has a huge scoring load , and is injury prone so he often takes plays off because of it. Just looking at the celtics, bucks they simply outclass us.

P.J. Tucker with 3 points, ZERO REBOUNDS, ZERO ASSISTS, ZERO STEALS, ZERO BLOCKS in 24 minutes.

Morey and Rivers are actively sabotaging the Sixers by continuing to start and play him big minutes. At this point in his career, he's the worst player in the NBA.

But he's the guy who's supposed to supply the team with all the "dog" it needs so that Joel Embiid and James Harden don't have to develop that capacity themselves. He's of critical importance for that reason.

We aren't getting better trading Embiid stop it already. Not to mention we don't even own our picks

Biggest takeaway from the game is that Maxey is leveling up after a disappointing stretch. His improvement is our only hope.

I agree, but boy he is not the answer at the end of game shots. Harden is still the only one on this team I’m confident in taking the last shot.

Don't forget Reed he has looked more reliable out there. Everyone else on the bench has been underwhelming.

We will get picks by trading Embiid, we need to look into the future.

The future without Embiid is another team picking a top 4 prospect. Stop it. We are all in there is no escape hatch to this

If you want to win you should want to keep Embiid not trade him. He is literally our best player and a top MVP candidate you don't trade those kind of players and get "better".

I also have zero interest in going through a 5-7 year process to maybe get back to where we currently are if embiid is traded it will be because he wants out and we better damn well hope that doesn't happen

Embiid will want out we failed him he deserves it after all he did for us let's trade him before he asks out and his value plumets.

I have to thank these 76ers. At least they are not selling me a dream this year. I see who you are and I have no expectations to be let down this playoff season. Thank you.

When the B-team made the run in the 4th quarter, what would have been so bad about letting them play the game out? As long as they were not tired let the young guns run Doc. But they get close then you bring in the starters. Why Doc why. Let the starters cheer the bench guys on.

Something about Reggie Miller as a commentator rubs me the wrong way he seems so unauthentic. And I liked him as a player.

I get your entire shtick around here is your overly dramatic takes, but have you ever stopped and thought that there are still ways to improve this team without blowing it up completely?

For instance, Tobias Harris and his total albatross of a contract will be expiring next offseason which will make it a valuable asset to teams looking to make a big splash in 2024 free agency. I suggest we move it for pieces that better fit around Embiid and Harden before we talk about Embiid being traded.

Yep, theoretically we match Ingram’s salary I believe, and he could be live in the off season. One playoff appearance and Zion to me is done long term. Yes he’s injury prone himself but talent? Non question, Harris + Maxey is a good starting point and you go from there.

How do you know for sure that he's not the answer during end-of-game situations when like 90% of all last shots are Embiid isos or Harden drives? You can argue that Maxey should be taking the last shot at the end of close games but is that his fault or Doc's?

I’ve seen too many awful floater attempts from Maxey to give him the ball for the last shot. Maybe he gets there one day but he’s not there yet.
