Well I guess thats the benefit of having two super stars you can occassionally win just by them carrying you alone.

Great win

Wolves refused to help off shooters all game and made Embiid and Maxey beat them, they did.

I'm loving reading the GB. They're acting like Jo has ever had a problem **** all over Rudy's mids ass.

sneaky thing about this game was Nurse just trying **** lol. Martin and then some zone stalled what felt like was going to be a run and kept us alive.

but also Finch pulled some bad **** lol. Not sure why NAW was on Maxey down the stretch instead of Jaden and it felt like Towns stayed out too long and they never went back to him. And they just never adjusted defensively often leaving Rudy in no mans land to die.

we take those tho

Really impressive win. Damn, if Morey can bring in even one more player who can score somewhat consistently, we might have something. Little pet peeve - I really wish Joel would just take that damn foul line jumper when he gets it instead of pumping 3-4 times trying to make it more difficult. He was remarkable tonight, as was Maxey.

Minnesota has a nice record right now, but they are not the top team out west. Not even close in my opinion. Denver, both LA teams, Sacramento, OKC, and possibly the Warriors beat them in a seven game series. Either way we needed this win after the lame effort against the Bulls. Miami next, let's beat them too.

That foul line/extended J is money every time. It's unstoppable. I don't my mind the pump fakes because he's probing to see how the defense is going to react. One thing about him this year is he's playing smart basketball. It's beyond important that we find a way to use that area in the postseason. Teams are going to try and take that away at some point and he'll have to counter when they do. The main thing is that he sticks with it. Don't stray from it when it works as good as it does. If he can hit those shots with Gobert on him, then he can do it against that goofball Al Horford.

I'm in full support of Nick Nurse. Last coach we had that I backed this much was LB. Doc drove me crazy. I'd always be trying to find the good in what Doc did to justify him being here.
An example tonight were the two challenges he used. They were huge for us. He pivoted to KJ Martin in the 4th which took guts. I'm telling you now that KJ Martin will be a big part of this team at some point this year. If not, then next year, but he's here to stay.

I don't know, man, they're pretty good. Defense is legit and they've got Ant as a legit star scorer plus some other solid options. Hard to project the PO now but I think they're right up there with anyone except DEN atm.

If Embiid's gonna hit contested jumper like that, and Maxey's gonna have stretches like he did tonight, we can beat anyone soundly. (Even with everyone else playing pretty mid.) Just not that likely they can be this good consistently.

Pretty impressive performance by the GB. The dominant theory is legit that the refs called so many grift fouls for Embiid in the first quarter that the defense was intimidated out of contesting the shots and drives he had the rest of the game.

No doubt, I could be jumping to conclusions because it is Minnesota and they've been a legit threat only a few times since they've come into the league. 20-5 is no joke of a record. They have beaten so titans this year.

As much as any team Minnie is built to defend the Sixers, not just Joel...but McDaniels as a long elite defender vs Maxey.

That was a dominant performance by both of them. Joel, legit was as dominant performance I've seen from him. I mean he was putting 7 footers in the rim, while then coming down and feathering in jumpers from all over and dominating defensively. That was amazing. He really has no weaknesses in terms of skill.

This night was an extreme version of what could be expected when the team was ready to let Harden walk, and why Nurse took the job with being real possibility.

Maxey just gassed McDaniels with his movement, screen after screen.

They have to be nicknamed Thunder and Lightning
