Could be tied, but Grimes hit the 3 point play.

C'mon, that wasn't a foul on Grimes. Overturn that.

That sucks. Grimes is a killer in meaningless games. He could cost us a draft pick. Not his fault, but sucks for the fans.

Rooting for tanking makes me less angry and riled up than rooting for winning, but man this ish can be depressing too. Like the whole world been seeming deflated and stupid for about 3 minutes.

Trading for a young player who is in a contract year is not ideal when you have a draft pick stake.

Yeah. And the better Grimes plays, the less likely he is to be back. We are essentially sacrificing our pick so he can showcase himself for a contract. Again, not his fault, but sucks for us.

Exactly, and it’s hard to tell a guy to sit because of that looming contract situation.

Nurse needs to be told to limit Grimes' minutes.

Listen, I hope they have the frozen envelope on lock after the stadium disaster. Don't even care if the pick is 6 as long as they keep it.

That being said, if this franchise loses their pick this year because of some guys playing for contracts? That's a fireable offense for both Nurse and Morey.

Exactly. If that snivelling rat of an owner hasn't read them the riot act already about winning too many games. Their only goal the rest of this season is to keep the Fing pick.

Boy are we gonna regret the many meaningless wins this season.

This franchise will have little to look forward to without that pick.

And guys like Caleb Martin who have solid contracts don’t want to waste minutes in these meaningless games. They are fine resting injuries and getting health for next year. You get guys like Grimes, Dowtin, Yabu, Council and they are trying to prove something.

It's actually mind boggling that Morey went out and got good players looking for new contracts in a lost season like this. It's highly likely Grimes and Yabu aren't here next year, and they're potentially costing the franchise a shot at a generational talent.

If we don't get the pick: leave whoever was in charge of drafting, fire Morey. Fire Nurse in any case. Ricky Council 10 rebounds! It's a very Sixer thing that players that we did not want to play and we lost games now win us games that we don't want to win haha.

Think one of the two will be back. Right?

Tough to tell.

Grimes might get overpaid due to his production in meaningless games. I would have interest in him, but he could turn into a horrible contract pretty quickly. On a team with McCain and Maxey, I don’t know if we want to spend much on Grimes.

And Yabu would have to be signed using the exception, which would hard-capped us. And we could be talking the entire exception. And without Embiid next year, do we really want to commit long-term to a 29 year old?

If we lose our pick, and Embiid is out for the season, I don’t want Grimes or Yabu. They are ingredients to the 10th pick recipe. I hope Oubre opts out too.

It’s tough to go full tank with three max contracts, but two of them were ill-advised and Morey basically left us with Maxey, MaCain, and a bunch of young spare parts.

I don’t think Grimes is a core piece to a contender, and he isn’t even at a position of need. I would prob lean toward letting both go. Great finds by Morey, but not for a team who likely won’t contend.

Why? If this was going to be a contender, then absolutely, I might try to keep them both. But at this point I'm ready to pull the plug on the whole damn thing, meaning no FA signings of anyone who can't be moved and anyone and everyone is available for the right price.

Besides, Yabu is 29 and Grimes is quickly playing himself out of any realistic price range here.
