If they let tony wroten shoot 5 3s a game I think they would be cool with Simmons not being Ray Allen yet.

But that was the Hinkie era. This is the BC era.

Even if simons play this year he wont shine as embiid- but we need time to adjust. He needs to play this year to shake the rust off andbget used to nba- im expecting this team to be at playoffs next year, there is no time to joke around and play kindergarden.

sixers, it was always sixers

Pompey reporting the last scan on Jan. 23rd showed his foot isn't fully healed.

That's.... not good. It should have been fully healed in 2 months from the surgery, which was October 1st. 3 Months max.

October 4th. 2-3 months is expected recovery, been 4 and he's being reevaluated Monday to see if it is fully healed. I'm actually relieved, I'd have been fine waiting an extra few weeks to know he is completely healed, not knowing had my mind wandering.

They were probably trying to sit on the news until the next scan but the negative press got the better of them and they leaked this to take the pressure off themselves.

The cloak and dagger stuff is one thing.....the news that one of our franchise talents can't seem to heal from this is a whole different kind of depressing. I can only assume that he will need to get the surgery done again.

Not relieving to me. Every doctor said 2 months is typically the time it takes to fully heal, and that 3rd much is rehab, recovery, etc. His foot should have been shown as fully healed in early December. Still not so in late January is extremely worrisome.

Hm, they said the day following that check up on January 24th that he was progressing as expected and he was doing 5-0 drills January 10th.

Lies, lol. Idk what to believe.

He's still not fully healthy? Does Simmons have the weirdest foot in history? How is this possible?

Jesus you really can't take this organization at its word.

Yep, just remembered that. They lied about that too. Unbelievable.

If he's running and jumping and cutting, the foot is probably basically healed. The doctor that performed the surgery is one of the best on the planet (same that did Embiid's 2nd surgery), it sounds like there's an interior part that isn't quite strong enough yet or something.

With broken bones, there's "fully-healed" and FULLY HEALED.

I feel like they're trying to concoct a believable timeline to excuse them holding him out for the rest of the season. Reports from this Monday will be that he's finally fully healed to put our worries to rest, but with only 26 games remaining it will be decided that he shouldn't play in these few remaining.

Makes it even more puzzling that Brett still expects him to play if he still isn't healthy. At this point if he's not 100% healthy he should be shut down....if being the keyword.

Who knows anymore...if we had decent journalist around the team we would of found out about all the lying that goes on in the building anyway. These guys too busy writing fluff pieces about Embiid and the process than actually getting scoops and informing the public.

I really hope Adam Silver intervenes and gets us an adult who is a man of action and has great relationships with agents to run this franchise correctly.

We need to find someone lead NBA teams for decades but never actually won titles and then hire that guy's son. Doug Collins kid is available right?
The feedback I've received from our fans is they understand we are trying to build something great. Good decisions come from having a broad set of options and making tough calls. We will do it unblinkingly. We have to be willing to take smart risks-Hinkie

So they lied and he's a slow healer. Great.

Can't wait til we find out Okafor actually tore his ACL last year and not his meniscus and that's why it took so long to heal.

Tough to distinguish what they're actually lying about, tbh. I think he's healthy now, I think the reports about his agent wanting us to hold him out this season may be what's actually true and they're corroborating to make that happen.

This has been happening since Bynum. It's ownership.

So basically Simmons' season will come down to his next scan in all likelihood. I'd guess he gets one right after the AS Break and if it shows it's fully healed, then he starts full practices. If it doesn't show fully healed, then he's out for the season.
