He **** kills his team in half court offence. Ben is the one who is bad fit with anybody until he learns to shoot. He is a great prospect, but he doesn't have star level impact on offence. And against good defences he is really bad.

For one his value tanks the moment you put him on the market. No one will give anything if value for a guy they think is broken...

Secondly dude loves it here and in today’s nba that **** matters.

I know you all just want to pump up your boy Ben but bottom line is that both guys need each other and the moment we trade either is the moment we might as well rank again imo because you are heading to no mans land and are capped out more than likely. And whoever is the remaining guy probably looks to bail. Our best bet is with these two and any trade will be the end of any championship chances. We are betting on both guys excellence TOGETHER and I highly doubt you get players of that same potential in any trade.

So put you agendas aside for once

I disagree. I think you can still get a king's ransom for Ben and I think the team can still succeed without him.

The other way, trading Embiid... that's a lot harder because yeah, teams are going to be wary if the Sixers offer and building around Ben is harder. I think it's possible, though. Ben would have to be willing to put up some threes, regardless of if he shoots an awful percentage or gets put on Shaqtin A Fool or whatever. He would also have to be willing to drive into the lane looking to initiate contact.

If Jo is not back on Sunday vs. Indy... IMO he's out at least until the playoffs. Because we're not in the "load management/precautionary measures" stage anymore after that.

At what point does his health start a discussion about his long term future as a 76er?

There is a guy currently at New Orleans desperate to get out and a team that still has him under contract and wants the best possible player back.

It will never happen though. Joel will never be traded and that is fair enough... you can't trade someone with that amount of talent. This club will end up living or dying on his health though and the signs have been bad ever since he was a teenager.

We have Ben, Tobias and Butler, we don't really need Embiid as much anymore, we are full of stars, we just need another star that is a better fit with Ben, he is the player to build around because he has, at least, already reached Embiid's level and is an ironman who keeps playing and doesn't get tired. Towns is the perfect guy but of course Minnesota maybe says no.
Embiid was a nice story and brought us good moments and was our first real star, but it is time to move on.

Ok now I know you're trolling... Simmons is at Embiid's level? Your Dr. Jekkyl an Mr. Hyde impersonation is legendary.

He's about to cross that thin line between trolling and believing in what he's trolling about.

The bottom line is, anyone who thinks that Ben, WITHOUT A JUMP SHOT, is on the same level as Embiid (trolling or not) can GO TO HELL. Embiid deserves more from us as fans of this team than to be disrespected by such an idiotic hot take. If Ben develops a shot, fine I won't argue, but until then shut the **** up!!

I don’t think sixers will ever trade embiid even with injury concerns. But I’m wondering if the knee injury is part of the injury clause in the max contract extension. The espn article I can find only says back and feet injuries. If he injured his knee. He’s still gonna to get paid.

http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/20985023/joel-embiid-extension-protects-philadelphia-76ers-case-contractually-specific-catastrophic-injury

He is the face of the franchise. So I think ownership knows how much ticket revenue he can generate (season ticket renewals) plus it’s halo effect on everything else.

I hope this is precautionary (being out essentially since feb 13 of real nba action) and 2 “practices” in between. Aka nba all star game scrimmage feb 17 and one day of practice March 4th.

I am beginning to have a sad feeling that Embiid isn't coming back this season and if he does it will be one of those situations where he isn't in shape and is not nearly as effective. Without full strength Embiid this is a 500 team at best. Sure you can beat the Suns and Knicks, but none of the better teams in the league.

This is similar to the Raptors without Kawhi, Milwaukee without Giannis, Rockets without Harden.

These teams that rely heavily on their best players. They could get beaten by anyone on any given night.
Zero chance they make it out of the first round without Embiid.
Simmons, Butler and Tobias are all 2nd or 3rd best players on Championship Level teams. We have ONE guy who can make a difference all by himself and that is Embiid.

Great news - I think!

Patton and Amir being sent to play for Delaware tonight.

I'm guessing that means JoJo is a go tommorow!

Looks like that.

I reckon he’s gonna to be rusty has heck the first half.

But it’s progress.

Hopefully this is not a rushed decision and he is ready to play.

Can't have it both ways. Summer are saying he's out for the season because of the repeated delays others think he's ready to play now.

I don't blame you for thinking that though lol.

Yeah everyone that says how great Ben is with shooters can look at how well JJ has been doing lately, and we saw what happened in last years playoffs.

Ben needs to be able to shoot, really noway around it. Until some people take their blinders off, including BB, we will never be a contender until a change is made by Ben.
