I would say no you're not crazy. History tells us the best players in a draft won't fall in line in the order they are drafted. It is never like that. But I would take Tatum over Bridges.

I would be scared to draft a tweener in the top 5

2017

Guys like RoCo and Kawhi were PF in college, if im not mistaken. Being a tweener, in a good way, is actually an edge nowadays. I really believe it's a forward league more than a PG league.

Offensively, I think Bridges can be as good or better than Tatum. Bridges actually has higher ast%. The thing that gives me doubt is Bridges low stl% number that may translate to quickness issue at the next level in the SF position.

I don't think you're crazy for that opinion at all. Most of the season I had Bridges ahead of Tatum. Bridges has NBA burst and athleticism. Plus he has a motor and a mean streak. He has these things over Tatum. But because of his size he'll have to play SF, and his ball handling and length aren't good for the position. Ultimately, I had to move Tatum ahead of him, because Tatum is just too good at too many different things to not be a good NBA SF. But in 5 years, if Bridges turns out to be better, I wouldn't be surprised.

Not crazy, given that Bridges is easily the better college player. Tatum, however, projects to be a much better pro. Bridges doesn't even have a defensive position.

Does Bridges have the handles to play SF though?

Being a tweener is way different than having positional versatility. Tweeners are a negative connotation.

Thursday's games and picks

(3)Oregon v (7)Michigan
(1)Gonzaga v (4)West Virginia
(1)Kansas v (4)Purdue
(2)Arizona v (11)Xavier

If I had to pick one game where I think it might go the opposite way it'd be Gonzaga over WVU

Michigan are 1.5 point favorites over Oregon, feel like that is more a reactionary spread than a logical one. Boucher got hurt and people act like Oregon is suddenly crippled. I just want to see an Oregon/Kansas matchup, see Dillon Brooks go against Josh Jackson. I hate Michigan

I have a feeling many people won't be happy if we picked 5th or 6th and drafted Fox. He doesn't seem to have that pizzazz to get people excited.

I'd probably take Dennis Smith at #5, because he has higher upside, but if they take Monk i wouldn't cry. But if Boston passes up Ball and Jackson, I'll be ecstatic.

Celtics drafting Fultz is like the Sixers taking another center. BPA says do it. But a trade is obvious. Isaac and Okafor for Fultz. Otherwise, I'd be pretty salty. Monk's playmaking and shot selection has definitely improved over the course of the year, but still suspect.

Well,Bridges has higher ast% than both Tatum and Monk.

Bridges has higher 3pt rate than both Josh Jackson and Tatum. While the ISO game has lessen it's value in the modern NBA. All these NBA players have to do nowadays is to jack up threes, drive off screens or attack close outs. That's why guys like Otto Porter excelled. And if they ever develop their handles, maybe they end up like Jimmy Butler or Kawhi.

My top 10 now

1.) Ball (game tailor made for modern NBA PG)
2.) Fultz (star caliber PG)
3.) Josh Jackson (advanced two way wing)
4.) Isaac (raw two way forward)
5.) Bridges (raw two way forward)
6.) Tatum (I try not to value ISO skills)
7.) Smith (playmaker and potential shooter)
8.) Monk (shooting rules)
9.) markanen (shooting rules)
10.) Fox

I will be pretty upset if Dennis Smith is available to the Sixers at No. 5 and they take Monk. I also prefer Smith's upside to Monk's.

Assuming the Sixers pick Top 5, my preferred order would be:
1. Fultz
2. Ball
3. J.Jackson
4. D.Smith Jr.
5. Isaac

If the Sixers get one of these players, then I think they improve the roster and fill needs.

Lets say if....Boston gets the 1st pick, and does take Fultz. Now lets say the Suns get pick 2, and the Lakers pick 3. Considering everything, and the Suns glut of Guards...if you are Lavar Ball...do you try and do a Rob Pelinka and Kobe, and tell Phoenix that if you draft my son, he won't go there. Try to get him to L.A. Or do you just shut up..and let things go the way they go ?

Lonzo will go wherever he's drafted. It won't work if he tried to say he won't go to a certain team. People need to stop this narrative.
