If he keeps improving maybe he'll be our point guard soon. Wow.

Regardless of his statline which was good, he was uncharacteristically cerebral and methodical yesterday, probably he got sick of losing to the Celtics.

There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

Kyrie was switching hands entire game. Biid finally caught up with his trick

Plus you could see how Irving dipped his shoulder trying to draw the contact with Embiid's chest, and Embiid hesitated, and slipped him. Then blocked him with his off hand.

It was such an unbelievable play both physically and mentally. It showed his athleticism, and his intelligence at the same time.

I always though AI would be my favorite Sixer until I die. Embiid is probably up there with him already.

Ehhh. That's what I said about Julius Erving, then along came Allen Iverson... then along came Joel Embiid...

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

It's one thing to know what he's going to do... and it's another to force the player left, chase him from the left side and then have the timing and agility to run in front of him (while he's in the air) and block a right handed shot with his left hand.

I've never seen a player do that in my lifetime.

I thought the same thing about Barkley, until Iverson came along, and then thought it about Iverson until Embiid came.

I don't think it's getting enough praise in the NBA community. I think people are going to revisit it a month from now and say, "wait, did he block that with his left hand??"

It was one of the greatest plays of the season. If it was in a clinching moment of a playoff series it might have become one of the greatest plays ever.

It was individually a better play than Lebron’s chase down block in the 2016 finals because that one just took epic will, and athleticism. This play was ballet, and calculus at the same time.

Playoffs performances are when legends are made. Regular season highlight reel block off kyrie is nice. But no casual nba fan who doesn’t follow sixers or even Celtics will remember it unless u show it to them. Most casual nba fans remembers Lebron block on iggy game 7.

There are a lot of highlights that are from the regular season and are played regularly. I suspect that block will be one that appears in every Embiid highlight reel.

Agreed. That’s why I said that it would have needed to be in a big playoff moment to be truly legendary.

Embiid resting tonight against the timberwolves. I think sixers front office made the announcement shortly after the pacers/Celtics game. They are obviously monitoring how many games up sixers are with resting embiid.

We need he wouldn’t play in 3 back to back games (Charlotte was the first one).

So I think the timberwolves game probably extra game sixers feel they can rest him since they are up 4 games in the lost column with 7 to play.

So embiid should be back in Dallas Monday. Rest Wednesday at Atlanta. Play vs Milwaukee Thursday. I could see him resting at Chicago Saturday if 3rd seed is guaranteed as well.

Hope we can guarantee that 3rd seed. I want most of our guys to be resting. Specially Biid

Hopefully they can figure out how to win on the nights he rests without playing the other 4 guys 40 minutes
