Re: Fantasy Trade Thread
Sixers out: Harris, Jaden Springer, Shake Milton, Paul Reed, ‘23 top 8 protected 1st, ‘23 2nd
Sixers in: Grant, Olynyk, Gay
Sixers get out of the Harris contract and get an equal PF back to keep the team going this season. Giving up Springer and another future 1st isn’t ideal, but small cost in the long run. This is a perfect 1st step to rebuilding the team into a better championship contender.
Jazz Out: Clarkson, Ingles, Gay
Jazz in: Harris, Springer, Reed, ‘23 2nd from Phil via Atl/Cha/BK
Jazz go for playoff wins now and add Harris to what would be a very good and well balanced starting 5
Cavs out: Rubio, Pangos, Lotto protected ‘22 1st
Cavs in: Clarkson, Milton, Joseph
Cavs get much needed depth help in the backcourt at the cost of likely a mid/late 20’s 1st
Pistons out: Grant, Olynyk, Joseph
Pistons in: Rubio, Pangos, Cle ‘22 1st, Phil ‘23 1st
Pistons turn the team over to the kids and start to tank for the top pick. Also clears $35 mil in cap space next season and adds 2 1st’s

The 76ers may have blown their opportunity to get Haliburton, by being greedy and unrealistic regarding Simmons. If so just wait until the off-season.
For this season, I'd concentrate on getting Goran Dragic from the Raptors, so we can have a real PG for the playoffs.

Welcome back.
I don’t know what to believe regarding Morey. There have prob been enough reports to determine that his high asking price is leading him to a lesser deal, but the reports are all over the place. Do I think he could have gotten Bagley, Hield, and Halliburton for Ben? Probably, but I don’t really know.
I saw somebody who’s basketball knowledge I really respect say they need to move Maxey to the two, but I can’t remember who it was. I haven’t really seen enough to say Maxey can’t be an effective point guard, but I think an experience point guard would help in the short term.

I'm happy for the Maxey getting the opportunity to get some experience as the default PG. It's good for his future career in the league. However I don't believe for a second that the 76ers can win a playoff series against a top 6 seed team, with Maxey as a starting PG this year. He's a good 3rd guard, IMO. Not someone who should be starting on any Championship caliber team.

Re: Fantasy Trade Thread
Ok...I'm gonna say it. He's been publicly made available....Bigger guard with handles, can shoot the rock, torched our asses in the playoffs a few years ago...Spencer Mahfackin Dinwiddie ya'll! His value is low, still trying to get back to form from that ACL tear. It takes time. We can get him. Question is for what?, and man does that contract look bad right now. They'd almost have to give us a draft pick right? Most of you know way more about this stuff then I do, but in short...I don't see any way to get him without giving up a core player in return unless there is some sort of loophole we could find. On top of that, how good is he right now?

Harris and Thybulle for Dinwiddie, Kuzma, and Bryant? Salaries match almost exactly.
Then immediately flip Bryant and a 2nd or two to OKC and get under the tax.

Why include Harris here?
Simmons (and maybe a 1st) for Beal.
Maxey
Beal
Green
Harris
Embiid
6 Curry
7 Thybulle
8 Niang
9 Drummond
I think that's a title contender if Embiid can continue to play at an MVP level.

The wizards wouldn’t do any iteration of those insane trade ideas.

Depends on Beal, I guess. If he says he won't resign, what choice do they have? Not saying they'd do a deal with Morey, but they have to do something. Any offer the Celtics (the team he's been rumoured to want to go to) can make is pretty lousy. Go check the Boston board to see how packages compare. Horford, a couple of their underwhelming young players, and picks. If the Wizards really aren't looking to tear it down, can they get anyone better than Simmons at the deadline, or in a S&T in the offseason?
I'm not sure teams would be lining up to give players of equal production for Beal in the last year of his contract.
Who did you have in mind?

I assumed the part of the trades he didn't like was Tobias, actually.

Right, gotcha. I should try reading better.
Although they do get off of Bertans and get a talent upgrade, so who knows. Sounds like all they want to do is finish .500 and Ben and Tobias can do that.

Re: Fantasy Trade Thread
Trade Idea:
Danny Green and 3 mil. to OKC.
OKC saves a lot of money roughly 4+3 = 7 million.
Dennis Schroeder to Philly.
Sixers get a much needed point guard. ( playoff rental) and cut 4 million in payroll saving them around 6 mil.
Boston unloads Schroeder and gets under the Luxury tax.

Re: Fantasy Trade Thread
In a sadistic sort of way, I think it’s fun to watch teams break down and drama unfold while holding onto Simmons
Brown and Tatum frustrations?
Gobert and Mitchell passive aggressiveness?
Harden and the Nets
Fox clearly not blossoming in SAC
Portland and Dame’s weird relationship
Beal and Washington on their last leg
Ingram leading the tank
These are all (perhaps except Fox & Ingram) tier 1 stars to pair with Embiid. All of this dysfunction growing louder as our team performs better and our young guys improving (Maxey, Thybulle).

Sacramento looks like they will miss on every target they had.
