SF, any interest in Yancy Gates in rd 2? He is a BIG, athletic 4. Would be a great bench player.

Re: Sixers Offseason thread/ sixerfan1976 updated to page 84
I heard Chad Ford on ESPN with Skip and Steven A Smith, they talked about Sullinger and they said he will be a avg NBA player dosent have enough athletic ability. But the main point was this kid has major back problems and teams are gettin scared off. If you mix the simple fact that he dominated college basketball for the last couple of years but isn't talked about a lottery pick and his so called terrible back problems I think he will be there at 15. In every draft NFL NBA there guys who slide leading up to the draft and there always a new hot name. Sullinger is sliding bigtime at 15 I'm taking him to me he can be somehwat of the Kevin Love type his last year at OSU he added the 3 point shot to his game like Kevin Love did to bring big defenders away from the basket

I'm thinking its 80% we stay at 15 and can't move up. Here's to hoping we get some good luck this year.

Just looked at the updated mock draft for today:
http://www.draftexpress.com/nba-mock-draft/2012/
My god if we traded up to 7 and THAT scenario played out I would be going crazy. Look at 7-15. If we got the first choice of those 8 and then the last one left(except for Zeller) I would be ecstatic.

Jefferson only has 2 years left. If we trade Iguodala and bring in two major rookie pieces, we could still amnesty Brand and have more money than we'll be able to wisely spend anyway.
If we got, for instance, Henson and Ross, then we would be really developing Vuc, Henson, Ross, Turner, and Jrue and not looking to break the bank next summer anyway. After determining which of those players are keepers, we could look to add in free-agency in the summer of '14.

I assume you are talking about Al Jefferson in a trade of Iguodala? If so, the problem I have is that I am far more interested in Jefferson if the Sixers can get a guy like Henson to play alongside of him. I just have no clue how Philly could get into the top 10 without having Iguodala as part of the package.

Ric Bucher @RicBucher
Hou moves up again - word is Dalembert and 14th pick to Mil for the 12th pick.
Edit: full deal...
Livingston, Brockman and Leurer and 12th pick to Houston for Dalembert and 14th pick
Houston makes deals.

So now the questions is....will Milwaukee nab our guy 1 pick before us? I think we are looking at basically the same list of players (Lamb/Ross/Henson/Zeller/etc).

I havent heard any talk at all about keeping Turner and Andre together. Front office knows one has to go and Andre seems to be the one. But if we pulled something crazy off and traded Turner for like pick 10-12 or something like that...I guess that would mean Andre stays.(and maybe you grab Ross and Sullinger or Ross and some other big that way)
I'd prefer to move Turner and keep Iguodala, but have resigned myself to see Iguodala go. If Turner can be used to trade up I'm all for that. I'd rather give the keys to the franchise to Holiday rather than Turner. And I've grown accustom to and appreciate seeing Joe Johnson/Pierce/Melo having mediocre nights against the Sixers because Iguodala wraps them up.

Yeah I think that points to Milwaukee taking Lamb or Ross at #12. Pheonix is rumored to take either Lamb or Ross at #13. So it looks like Ross will be gone by #15.

Does Milwaukee keep Dalembert at 6.7 mil for this year or dump him and only pay 1.5 mil?

I think that was already the case with them. All the guys they have been linked to are wings and PF's

I doubt they dropped back two spots in the draft just to pay Dalembert 1.5mil to go away. I think he stays and you see them go for a PF at 14. Or a SF like Ross to pair next to Jennings and Ellis.
Id call them about Larry Sanders though. He could be an easy get right about now for little to no cost.

... I hate/love draft time. I go from being sour and down on everyone to where I am now. All the picks, I want them.
They say an analytics man doesn't have a heart, but I ran the numbers and nothing can be further from the truth - Sam Hinkie probably

Once the Rockets trade up to get two lottery pick and then fail to trade for Dwight, the Sixers will step in and offer them Iguodala and #15 for their two lottery picks (say both top 12) and Kevin Martin!

They shed the salaries of other guys in the deal...so they are saving money if they cut him. Could be looking to have more for FA since they may want to re-sign Ilyasova.
