Fultz' stock is kinda dropping. Now he's kind of a "Lakers pick" target for me.

I don't watch college basketball until the tournament. A lot of what I've read and heard suggest Fultz and Smith as likely the best fits with Embiid and Simmons.
Are you suggesting that Ball and Jackson are top two on your general big board or top two on your Sixers big board? I recall a few podcasts suggesting Ball would be a poor fit for us.

Again, I don't watch a lot of college hoops. Who do you see as top 5 on your sixers board?
My top 3 in terms of desired players are pretty locked in at:
1. Josh Jackson - 2-way player with special athleticism and intangibles. Can't shoot, but it won't prevent him from being a stud at the NBA level.
2. Jonathan Isaac - A high level defender of Fs. Unlike Jackson, he does posses a pretty polished jumper already. Doesn't have an inner alpha dog in him like Josh. He reminds me of an Otto Porter type. He's going to be a legit 2-way player in the pros.
3. Lonzo Ball - Elite athlete with an elite skill level. Special talent. Needs to fill out his frame with bulk, though. Not much of a defender, either. An excellent fit with Embiid and Simmons, given his knockdown catch and shoot ability paired with his extremely low-maintenance playing style (just a 17% usage player at U.C.L.A.). Incredible natural playmaking ability, passing creativity and vision. He and Simmons on the court together wouldn't even be fair.
There's a lot of fluidity in the next two spots.
Malik Monk - Elite scorer and shooter. Defense is not there. Neither is a set position. He's a SG in a 6'3" 200 pound body. Which is fine for us because Simmons is our floor general. He can just be a place-holder PG for us and put up buckets.
Jayson Tatum - His defense has been excellent, but waiting for his offense to establish itself and for his jumper to materialize. His scoring ability is obvious, the consistency just isn't there yet.
Dennis Smith Jr. - He's really come on in the past few weeks. His jumper is clicking, his facilitation is there, his athleticism is on display and he's ripping steals at an extremely high rate.
Markelle Fultz - Can distribute, shoot and score, but he doesn't defend consistently or with much effort. Plays hero ball at Washington. A lot of pull-up jumpers and the like. Questionable fit with Embiid and Simmons given his tendencies.

Interesting. I was going into panic mode because a lot of chatter had Fultz and Dennis Smith as the only great fits, and we were falling out of their range of that top tier.
However, a lot of people see a clear top 7, and we could likely get two of them.

Mine would be Fultz=Jackson>Ball=Smith>Monk. Simply because I rank stardom and potential higher than fitness.

Yeah, people have this weird thing that Ball wouldn't fit on our roster. It was a huge point of contention earlier in the season.
All the data, metrics and just basic logic suggests otherwise, though.
People have assumed that since he's a facilitator that he and Simmons would be redundant, failing to see how proficient and knockdown he's been as a catch and shoot, off-ball player. And failing to acknowledge that his usage is 10-15 percentage points lower than Smith and Fultz. Ball would be a seamless fit with Embiid and Simmons. If he was a defender, he'd literally be a perfect prospect, for me.

Yeah, Jackson is far from an ideal fit in terms of spacing and defined roles for our guys.
It just wouldn't even matter. Throw all conventions out the window, we'd have 3 of the best 4 or 5 players on the court on a nightly basis.
Our defense would be nearly impregnable with Jackson / Simmons / Embiid at the 3, 4 and 5. We'd have three guys capable of getting a bucket whenever they tried. It would just be fun as hell.

Lol yep, if Dickerson actually could finish some of those layup that Fultz dish out at the end, they would have gotten the lead. If anything, Fultz should have shoot more but I think he was gassed from carrying scrubs.

That's where I am too.
Jackson and Ball are 1 and 2 for me.
Then Fultz is a solid 3.
Smith and Tatum are neck and neck at 4 and 5.
6 is probably Monk, but it could also be Isaac.
Giles is still a wildcard for me. I'm not really counting him in my Sixers specific list, but I am hoping that he can go in the top 3 to push another player down to us.
There is so much parity at the top of the draft that , if we draft at say 4, the top 3 players off the board may not be Jackson, Ball and Fultz. Any of them could be there for us at 4.
Even if they DO go in the top 3, I would be content with Smith or Tatum at 4, and then hope for Isaac or Monk at 7. We just wouldn't want Smith and Monk as a pair most likely.

People dont know how bad the huskies are. If Ball or any other top prospect replaced Fultz on the team the huskies probably would have an even worse record

Glad some of you aren't our talent evaluator's. Fultz is clearly the best prospect in the country, like is bizarre how people can watch him play compared to the other prospects and come to any other conclusion.

There are way too many high level domestic players with proper sample space for evaluation at the top of this draft for me to feel comfortable gambling on a 13-17 minute per game foreign prospect.

A wing who never learns how to shoot will be a rich man's version of someone who was the 2nd best player from his draft class and top 30 in his prime? He should be the unanimous #1 pick in that case.
