Yeah, but their lack of success lead to us getting Ben and Fultz. Hinkie said that we won't hit on every draft pick, so we want to collect as many high draft picks as possible.

In the end, it worked out.

Yeah. The idea that you have to win every battle in order to win the war is silly.
Turn a loss in a win is the way to win the war.

Yeah. And the butterfly effect. If Jah was average, we likely aren't in a position to get Ben.

Give the two of them for a cheap backup wing. Wonder if ATL would take the two of them for DeAndre Bembry? I'd even add a 2nd. Think I will post that on their board and see what responses are.

You don't that it worked out. Fultz could be no better than them.

True. But the other two were centers, which is why I like Fultz so much better and consider him so much more valuable than the other two.

But honestly, Embiid needs to show he can stay healthy, and the other two that they can excel in the pros.

I thought Noel would have been a long-term piece if not for Embiid.

I still believe that Okafor will eventually put it together to be a good player in the NBA. It just isn't going to happen here, and we might as well cut him lose to find another team.

In a pure value sense we should hold on to him for now instead of cutting him, but like the Fultz trade, you can win deals that you lose on points if it has other benefits to your team.

Okafor is a good kid who needs a fresh start, and we don't need any value out of him.

Let him go to young team with less competition for his position and let him play 24-28 minutes a night and build back up his confidence. Nobody can ever take away his one on one scoring ability, and that means that he will have a place in the league somewhere.

Yeah. Not sure a team can win as four guys stand around watching him play one-on-one, and getting his shot blocked half the time.

Aside from having post moves coming out of college, what else do he do well?

He is really coordinated offensively. I thought he was bigger and would be an elite post scorer coming out of college.

I thought he was supposed to be a good passer coming out but that never happened

If Okafor wants to, he can be a good reserve big in this league with his next team. I'm not convinced of either his passion or work ethic, though.

Every player could bust.

But I was responding to the assertion that other prospects failure was a good thing because we got Fultz. Its faulty logic to begin, but hat's no argument either way, because you have to see if is Fultz good before you claim success.

Your right. Why not mention Simmons along with Fultz though since the post you were referencing did? Just took it as a shot at Fultz.

We should have 0 concern over Okafor needing a "fresh start" or reviving his career elsewhere.

Okafor was drafted HERE. He's sucked and not lived up to expectations. Let him work his ass off to make it here or garner up enough value to get us something back. If not, good riddance when the time comes.

Dudes had more then a fair chance to show his worth, and has had the opportunities that many rookies would love to have.

Has anyone noticed Nurkic's success after being traded from Denver to Portland? Could be the same kind of situation for Okafor. For all the posters that want to give away Okafor or even just cut him, you are crazy.

Nurkic is actually good at basketball.
Jah is terrible and I have no idea why people even give a **** about him.

Props to him for working and staying in shape. Probably motivated by an impending change of scenery.

Reminds me of that pool workout people were fawning over last summer. At this point Okafor has to show he's healthy and in shape on the court.

I want Okafor to be traded just to hear the outrage from the hardcore Okafor people after the amazing offseason we are having so far. It'll be great theater.

Exactly. A couple "Sixers Twitter" guys went forward with this "Okafor sucks" narrative and a bunch of fans mindlessly followed along with it. It's hilarious.
