5-5 full contact practice has gotta be a really good sign.
Assuming our watered down schedule with the London game this week...he could get a few of these in.
01/15 is what I’m hoping for. Do it for the Docta!

Yeah I'm guessing he has a certain number of 5 on 5 practices he has to play before he can get in a game.

Negrodamus wrote:Similar to the other videos, his jumpshot is still a bit confusing. He's shooting a lot of flat footed, all upper body free throws in these videos. Long story short, though, his shot is adjustable and leaps better than the beginning of the season, so I'm not terribly concerned about his longterm shooting ability. I think he will struggle with his shot for the rest of this year, but it's not a big deal.
Agreed. I always thought of him as being more scorer than shooter. My pre-ankle/shoulder concern was his tendency to dribble drive with his right, and phantom dribble with his left, resulting in either a pull-up or a move back to his right. The better defenders in the NBA will pick that up more quickly than others. I see the same exact moves in the video. Lol. I get that he hasn't been able to workout much with the injury and all. But the reason I couldn't put him above the other top prospects was because I'd like to see more diversity in offensive moves. That said, D'Angelo Russell scores quite well with the same 'flaw', and Fultz' is more creative than he is, I think. I was actually glad to see those vids of him shooting with his left.
With almost a week to work with the squad and travel to England, it'd be nice to see his re-introduction in England on Thursday, against the Celtics. I know Adam Silver would like that.

A game in London vs. Boston would be a really high pressure game for Fultz to return in. Looks like maybe 1/15 vs. Toronto in front of the home crowd is when he'll return.

The Raptors game makes too much sense. Home game with plenty of practice inbetween.

i have no concerns with his shooting/scoring ability. the guy is a natural, and he's gonna make a big impact from the jump

Still no doubt in my mind he will be the best player in this draft. The kid has no holes in his game (his jumpshot will take time to adjust), and he looked adequate on D summer league through game 4 of the regular season.
Looking at our teams numbers, what we're lacking is an offensive superstar. This kid has all the potential to be just that, even if it takes a few years.

Re: Markelle Fultz Discussion III: For Fultz and going forward (see 2017 draft thread for trade discussion)
The biggest question mark about Fultz in my mind was his defense. Early returns on that looked VERY encouraging. He has a good chance to be a two-way stud.
Just about all the questions about his offense are total BS assuming that his play when he couldn't raise his shooting arm above his shoulder actually has any long-term significance about his shooting form and offensive ability.

Yup. Fultz got a lot of moves and a lot more counter moves. His spin is lethal, he also has a half spin that is just as lethal.
But he needs to be less right dominant. Currently, he’s more of a drive right, shoot left guy. Then he also needs to get some lessons from IT on the craftiness to finish around the rim.
He’s defense and aggressiveness(my biggest concern) were better than advertised. Finishing around the rim and shooting needs a lot of work, but im very optimistic he improve those aspects to his game.
Like Bb, I always see him as the guy that fills a big hole to our team. And personally, I see him playing a bigger role than Ben to our offense 1-2 years down the road.

Jon Johnson of WIP reporting a source told him the Raptors game on MLK day is the current expected return date for him. Not set in stone, but right now that's where the money is.

Re: Markelle Fultz Discussion III: For Fultz and going forward (see 2017 draft thread for trade discussion)
When Fultz is back, I’d still play our usual good starting unit without Fultz. Then have Fultz play off the bench to fill that perimeter scorer/playmaker hole we have with our 2nd unit.
When he’s healthy and he needs to start, push comes to shove, do we bench JJ or Saric? Thats one big question. Im hoping is he’s Ok playing the Manu/Harden (okc) role of playing off bench, since we already have a very good starting unit.

A western conference scout once told me he plays like a PG version of Shaq.

What Dante Exum clips

I believe the Kobe Bryant reference was due to his work effort and mentality than his actual ability. They described him as "highly competitive" Believe me... even people within Australian basketball circles they didn't believe Exum was going to be Kobe Bryant or even anywhere near close to it. Ben Simmons was the one they said was special.

Hahaha
But seriously man..
These writers just makes up anonymous scouts or executives for them to write their hot take gut feel. If it becomes true, he has a legit source. If not, that anonymous guy was wrong.
