Joel will be a 5 rebound a game max if paired with Zion.

I think Morey is going to be vindicated to some degree in carrying assets to the offseason. There is going to be star movement. Vindication is one thing, execution is another. He needs to get one.

I actually see the opposite, he would have to get 13 a game with Zion, cause Zion is allergic to rebounds. I would much rather go after Ingram, better fit, and probably who we should've drafted instead of Ben.

Joel could play with Zion, he can damn near play with anyone he wants at this point if healthy. Joel is that talented, but Zion isn't. Its going to take years for Zion to ever get his game together, time I don't think Joel has. Ingram, on the other hand, is ready now.

Well that's fair, except Tobias can't beat KAT off the dribble, at least Ingram can do that. Not to mention the 5 year age difference. If I needed to win a game, at the end would I prefer it in Tobi or Ingram's hands? I'm going Ingram, and if New Orleans would do that and Morey hasn't asked....well he needs to be more aggressive.

"A seat"? Just one seat doesn't get me excited unless its for Morey...or maybe Elton is scouting for the Hornets

Why is your name Phifans, but none of your teams are Philly teams. You even have a Hornets emblem hanging out there. What Philly teams exactly do you follow? I'm not doubting you or trying to be a jerk, it's just odd. The name...Are you a Lamelo fan? Larry Johnson? Alonzo Mourning? Rex Chapman perhaps? Johnny Newman? Muggsy? Baron Davis possibly?

In Keith Pompey’s (stop...) ask me anything today, he said he “feels strongly” that Buddy will be back next year but thinks Tobias is gone.

That excites me considering Buddy is a tooled up generational shooter and I expect Morey to trade our summertime pick disposal for another impact starter.

A Hield + Embiid + (3-5 FRP asset) + Maxey might have us back in '18-'19 territory in terms of Larry O'Brien legitimacy.

Would come down to gelling in time, health and a bench not anchored by Mike Scott and Greg Monroe.

I know but that would ruin all of our depth. I hope we will go on a route operating over the cap.

Is that even possible given our moves? Maybe if Detroit offers a big deal for Tobi we get a row we could use?

Biid/Zion makes no sense at all. It won't happen.

I woudn't mind Ingram here if we can't get anyone better. I see him as an upgrade over Harris. Not a huge upgrade, we ll need other moves too. But he's a better playmaker and scorer, defensively neither is very good but he's a little more distrupctive with his lenght.

Also 5 years younger, but he's very injury prone tho. That could be an issue in the RS.

Ingram is better than Harris, but seems like he'd have similar issues with the ball sticking to him and not being a willing enough catch and shoot guy from 3. He's also frequently injured.

He's an upgrade, but I'd be a little disappointed if that was the big move Morey has been waiting on (as I've sad before, I'd be more interested in Trey Murphy than Ingram).

As an aside, if they are going to make a trade for their star rather than some unforeseen free agent coming available, I wonder if they could work it as some type of S&T with Harris going out as matching salary and operating as an over the cap team to retain guys/use the MLE.

We must make do with what will be available in the offseason. If there aren't any big names, then we'll continue running without a real "big 3," which I'm fine with.

Personally, if we're going to trade for a big-name player to play with Embiid and Maxey, it has to be someone who's a first-tier star. Paul George is the top candidate for now.

If a big name is not available, then we'll run this collective five-type team where we have enough talent, offensive firepower, and depth to keep the boat afloat while Embiid rests and gets himself fresh for the playoffs.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

Might not be the sexiest name…but Lauri Markkanen is the painfully obvious trade target this off-season. He’s a great fit as a stretch 4, doesn’t make a ton of $, and could very well want out of Utah unless they can pull off a miracle this offseason

I think he's a great fit here! I think the targets should be him and/or Ingram. Obviously there's some risk of being fleeced dealing with Ainge, but Markkanen is worth it for me. I think he improves our team big time. You're going to have to give up a lot to get him, but we can find role players to fill out the roster. Maxey, Hield, Council, Markkanen, Embiid, Reed, (hopefully we keep our FRDP), Melton if he can come back for a reasonable deal, KJ Martin. That's nine guys, you then fill the roster out with positions of need and go from there. Like I said though, Ainge is a pain the ass to deal with it seems. He just raped Toronto a week ago.
