Ugh, they want to get rid of him and according to SF, we would really like him. Make the deal happen already!

unless its an andre deal...until july ...you got nothing to trade for him.

Is it possible that the Rockets wanting to trade up might entice the sixers to take that offer and worry about Jefferson/Biedrins later?

I dont think GSW wants to make the deal til they see how the first 6 picks shake out and I dont blame them.

I'm so torn on this one. I'd do it if the deal did not involve having to take back RJ or Beidrens. If it requires that, I'd be working the hell out of the phones to see if a third team could be found.

That said, I would probably rather see if GS had any interest in Young or Turner instead and see what kind of package that might involve. In that instance, I'm not sure a bad contract needs to be thrown in. If that can somehow be pulled off (not involving the #15 pick), then you still have Iguodala as bait in another potential move. Personally, I still like idea of pairing Al Jefferson with Henson, but as has been discussed ad nauseum on this board, it's doubtful that Ross, Rivers, or another quality SG will fall to $15.

Id agree with that. Their trade options probably dont matter that much until Barnes and MKG are off the board. Why trade for a SF when you can just draft one of those. Not likely that either are there at 7 but stranger things have happened.

all i have to say is if there is a player or 2 that you really want and you feel can be a valuable peice going forward you suck it up and you make the move and you go get him whether i like the player or not...

it seems they have 2 players they really like (ross & henson) so be bold, be aggressive and go get one of them or both which i would prefer...ahah

Maybe we could swing iggy to GSW for 7,wright and Biedrins/Jeff.

Then swing 7 and the bad contract to Houston for 12/16?

We could likely get Ross /Leonard and One of the Jones' or Sullinger.

I have a bad feeling in my gut, Tyler Zeller is gonna be a Sixer 2morro night. Smh

Based on how this draft is starting to shape up, getting Zeller would qualify as a good night for me.

No need to panic now. First of all, even guys like Ross and Sullinger are not can't-miss amazing players. I'd be disappointed if we didn't get one of them, but not devastated. Plus, no one knows how it will go. So many smoke screens. Ross could very well be there at 15. If not, maybe we only need to move a few spots and not all the way to 7 and keep Iguodala.

well that would suck. These things happen when you sit and wait for good stuff to happen to you rather than go get the good stuff.

Sixer Fan,

From your knowledge the only thing holding up a deal with Sixers and Golden State is the Biedrins/Jefferson dilemma? Otherwise both teams would be interested in that deal... as in, if the Sixers can find a third team to move R-Jeff to, then it's a done deal?

And did the Sixers actually meet today with Jeremy Lamb? Didn't see that on any media outlets?

Ever since Thorn took over he has been on the sideline waiting for stuff to happen instead of being proactive. This team has been at least 3 years away from being a legit contender ever since he took over and they never get any closer because he doesn't make any moves. Iguodala's trade value will never be higher. He needs to trade him now and preferable for a draft pick IMO because they will acquire a player who will be here 4-5 years and can grow with Dru and Turner rather than Gasol or Al Jefferson who may only be here a year or two. Also, if you do the GS deal you could always sign Al Jefferson as a FA next year and have both Hensen and Jefferson.

GSW wont do anything until tomorrow regardless. We were trying to find a team to take jefferson or biedrins and we get someone else with similar value/contract. if Drummond is there at 7, Houston is gonna try and give at least two of their firsts to go get him. Thats the other hold up. But if Barnes or Gilchrist fall to 7 by some miracle...then GSW hangs up on everyone and just picks one or the other.

As for Lamb...they talked...thats all you need to know.

I believe he said no deal would be finalized until pick 7 is on the clock. The Warriors want to see how the first 6 picks go before they commit to a deal.

We have to be the only team I haven't heard one damn peep about. We're gonna end up sitting on our hands, not trading Iggy and just picking whoever the most obvious possible choice is at #15. Same **** different year. If we aren't the most boring franchise in the whole damn NBA I'd like to know who is. Even the Bucks, Bobcats and Rockets make some deals. We just keep whoever we have until their contract runs out or overpay them, then sign minimum salary type players and draft the guy everyone else is thinking we'll take. This is the same reason I wanted to abort ship as a fan last offseason. If this is how it goes again and we run out there with Jrue-Turner-Iggy-Lavoy-draft pick.....count me out.
