OMG! We're never going to trade him! This has been almost 6 months of torture at this point. We've got to move on at some point. I know Morey has dug in as far as what he wants in return, but what if other teams simply just do not want Ben Simmons? I mean, who would want a player that is getting paid max dollars that you can't put on the floor in the fourth quarter due to him not being able to hit a free throw?

Patience is a virtue. Is the Dec time good to go for moving previous non trade able contracts? That can be a big big deal for filling purposes. Like Green for example or is that next week?

I mean forecasting looks great here on the market for us

Simmons is a talented player, but his value has dropped because of his off the court behaviour. He is risky for any GM because not only can he not shoot but you don't know if he will walk out on the team. ACCEPT Siakam who is playing great and is only being traded because of an overlap after Raptors drafted Barnes who is well ahead of schedule

The reporting has been somewhat consistent by saying Morey has a list of 30 players to wanting a top 25 player. He also went on the radio and said point blank he wants an allstar difference maker and is willing to play the long game.

So if he blinks he blinks but Murray and Vassell aint that. I am honestly fine with banishing him to sibera rather than letting taking a garbage offer and rewarding Simmons for his holdout. Murray and Vassell are not going to lead us to a championship. The situation remains unchanged for me since the beginning of the year and there is no reason to panic. If anything Maxey play has sort have lessened the pressure to make a move.

What is the value of Seth Curry if we are trying to compensate OKC in a multi team trade for SGA? Is it a first? Top 10 protected, top 20 protected? Is it not even a first? Can Reed get you a couple of high 2nds or at least one? I doubt you could get a 1st for Thybulle but maybe someone coughs up a heavily protected one a few years down the line. Will a contender cough up a end of round pick for Green? There's some ways to get creative and get draft futures.

If there is an avenue to get SGA I think you try to empty out the current roster for picks that are re-routed and reassess in the offseason how to build depth. Maybe even try to miss the playoffs and add a lotto selection if the trade completely hollows out the roster. I still don't think it's possible to get what Presti wants but you never know.

Reed ain’t going to fetch anything of note. I suspect Green or Kork is the moving contract for filler which I’ve had since the start.

There is a huge disconnect I'm seeing here, which is people expecting a return for Simmons that can take us to the next level and make us a championship contender. The problem is that Simmons is not that good to command that kind of return, now add to that the fact that he is a primadonna with insane baggage, can't dunk to save his life, and can't shoot to save his life. Why would the other team trade a star for him?

We’re in a very good spot here. Price is what is agreed upon between the parties when buying or selling.

There are plenty of buyers on the market and we are sellers & so are others.

Agendas play an even bigger role. Rockets owner shot himself in the foot last year. Kangz make bad moves all the time. Sports is a breeding ground for illogical moves. None of us here are geniuses and so aren’t GM’s they are human.

Human behaviorism general is very conventional, pragmatic and risk adverse because of habits thus it leads to mistakes/easier lines of conclusions.

Thankfully we are holding our only half bullet to play with, but still half a bullet is better than an empty gun if you catch my drift.
