It's funny, early on I could tell I was not going to get any top 10 superstars, nor was I going to be able to build with future superstars. So I shot for a team that hopefully woould be top 8 (barely) that could stary good for a long run. I guess I went the Stefanski route when he tried to build a near contender with Brand/Iguodala/Miller and some promising young players (but not future superstars.) I succeeded, but I don't know if that is a good or a bad thing.

Yeah, you really did a good job drafting.

Like I've been harping on, I'm not a fan of the way I did it this year. Trying to get two star players, and then filling in after that. It just leaves to many ??. It's just more fun to build an actual team, instead of building around a player.

I was generally frustrated each time I came up to pick. I consistently missed out on who I wanted- which left me taking a lesser talent who fit well.

So that way I ended up with a nice system team (except getting burned at the pG spot), but not talented enough to be excited about.

My teams last year destroy my team this year...

I will NOT accept that score without a better explanation. Is time to do my 2k sim where my team has a unbias rating. Which also happens to be one of the highest of all our teams.

Heck tom gave me a 29. That's a 20pt difference.

No saying I know exactly what I'm doing, either. Was first time for me. Tried to be fair.

You did what a lot of folks did -- take offense or defense. I'd prefer rather more of a mix.

Yeah, I liked my team a lot last year too. That's why I want to get another one going this summer...now that I built an average team that I'm not thrilled with, my competitive juices are flowing for me to build a really good "team". Get this bad taste out of my mouth of being average, and build the definite playoff team that I know I can build. Not to mention, I find these things a lot of fun as a whole.

Plus I think now that everyone did it once, it would be a lot more exciting because more people know how it goes. Just overall a smarter draft. This time was a practice draft, next one is a the real thing.

Props to the judges for spending valuable time to evaluate our teams, we really appreciate it.

I wanna say thanks to PK5, Tk76, Knux-Future, and everyone else that contributed to making the draft flow as smooth as possible.

I'm most definitely down to join another "Be the GM" in mid-July or August if we get enough people. I learned a ton from being in this league & building a team, and I look forward to doing it all over again many more times in the future.

Props to you as well...helped out a ton when I was absent. Really, props to everybody who made this thing run nicely.

I would like to start Be-the-GM like June 25th just because I'm thinking Iggy things will be at the height.

Iggy Rumors = More People on here = Be-the-GM getting done quickly

We could get the first few rounds done pretty fast with involved traffic. Last year we did it mid-July, and really, once we hit the end of July/August this place is DEAD.

Right there with ya, apparently. This time was harder than imagined with the influx of new people joining. Better luck next time, hopefully.

I'm not complaining or anything. But it's really hard to judge, specially without a sound reasoning why the judge give this score and so.

For instance, Brian of Depressedfan, have me as a top 3 team. Saying that I have a good defensive and offensie team. But when it came to Sixersfans (Just 10 in championship category) and Tmoore(gave me 19 in championship category), they only rated/ranked my team as a top 10 team and most of the deficiency is because they don't team my team is a contender.

So in conclusion, I think you need to take this juding results like the real NBA. It also involves luck and not just entirely logical reasoning. =)

In response to the above..I gave you the highest score possible for fit and next 5 years. The reason I don't think you deserved as many points for championship contender is that I thought there were other teams constructed with a better chance to go further in the playoffs.

If you put that squad into today's NBA, I'm sure they would possibly get to the conference finals or better. But I thought at least 4 teams in the East Conference of the Be the GM League were better.

Thanks judges for putting in time for this, much appreciated. Any word on when the other judges are getting their results in?

I'm keen to get into it again, either with current players or and all-time draft which sounds pretty intriguing.

No problem at all my dude & I agree, starting another "Be the GM" league at the end of June instead of mid-July would be perfect.

Before we go forward with a new Be-The-GM, would everyone be up for a complete overhaul of the judging system?

What do you have in mind? Obviously, if there is a better way, we'll definitely switch it up.

I like the idea of making some sort of bracket where two teams are put head to head and then maybe we make a poll where the other 28 GM's vote who they think is better? Eventually we'd get down to the "championship" team.

We can do that based off of the 8 playoff teams from the judges...then everybody can vote on who wins the match, and then they move on.

Believe Krazy mentioned that early. Just give me some time to think about when we can do that...whether I wait until all the judges have their scores in or we just do it say next Tuesday (Hold off the sim for a few days)
