Since this is becoming somewhat of a fantasy thread, why not Ben Gordon? Sure he makes a load of money but he's in his prime & Turner + Nocioni or Nocioni, Meeks, Battie, & Brackins works on the trade checker.

Shouldn't a fantasy trade make the team better???

One concern with Ellis, he didn't play a lick of defense last night...if you give up a great deal to get him, will he buy in?

I would certainly love to bring in JJ Hickson. Im not sure he can be a starter but im certainly willing to give him a shot and see if he has anything. Nice young player who I feel will hustle and get us some boards and a little more athletic at the 4.

Ellis would play defense here...I promise..
Evan Turner/Nocioni for Ellis makes too much damn sense at this point..

Hickson has always struck me as the definition of a low IQ player, and been terribly inefficient. I fel like he's a very good bet to underperform any contract he gets, and that is even after showing himself as not much in Sac. For people who didn't like Speights, you won't like Hickson at all imo.

More importantly, no way Indy lets Hibbert become an all star and then walk when they have 47 billion in cap space just because we made a big offer; they will match anything.

im sorry, can someone tell me where monta ellis was gettin eaten up on D?? i must have missed it

he was guarding jrue most the time... and jrue only scored 13 points ALL on long jumpshots... which shows good D to me

lou will scored alot of his early points on robinson and then most the rest late in the game in garbage time

im not saying ellis was lockdown, but the guy was not playing anything close to bad defense

i dont think holiday drove to the basket on him once

Ben Gordon?? minus Lou Williams and 5 years ago on the bulls yes but not heck no. He doesn't even fit in with our current bunch besides shooting. We need a significant upgrade not just a trade for the heck of it especially with Turner involved. Lou Williams for Ben Gordon maybe.

I would like to see us explore possibilities with the bobcats. I can see them intrigued by pairing Turner and Kemba walker together. Tyrus Thomas would be a good addition to our team. Good shotblocker with the ability play 4 or 5, great mobility and atleticism and only 25 or 26. Reggie Williams is a good shooter on the wing with good size at the 2 or 3 at 6'6 and is only 25. Gambling on Corey Maggette who once was excellent at scoring dawning fouls and getting to the line might have some left in the tank to try.

Why would golden states front office even consider trading ellis for Lou William and Nocioni. This is so unrealistic and completely favors the 76ers. If Ellis is not a great fit for Golden State why would Lou Will be?

*sigh* It would be great if there were even a few rumors out there worth speculating on. It's awfully quiet everywhere it seems.

Jrue got everywhere and anywhere he wanted to on the court... that is bad defense.

You want me to leak a couple of fake rumors?

Here goes...
fake rumor wrote:Team has had quiet talks with Sac. Sac is looking at dumping Hickson but wants value back. Philly has offered Nocioni for Hickson + Garcia, but Sac is right now holding out for Nocioni and our first. The team is looking at all other options first.

Another possibility the team has looked at is Houston with Hill. Would be something around Brackins and Battie (he would be expected to agree to it), but Houston wants more. Not sure if Brackins call up was related to this, will ask and tell if I find out more.

Denver offered Chris Andersen, but the team isn't interested. Too many concerns about off the court.

Minnesota was shopping Beasley hard for a first from LA, and might do the same for Nocioni and a 1st but we aren't interested in him still.

Nothing big likely, but stay tuned, as everything I hear is everyone is waiting for the big dominos to fall before making even a small move. Team sees its window as now and isn;t afraid to use this summers pick or a young player to add a vet presence.

So, how did I do? :)

Is this a source from this site or a joke? Some interesting stuff. Hickson & Garcia would be nice pieces, especially if Turner brings a very good 2.

I cannot imagine that they would be. I just would prefer a package centered around Lou instead of Turner. GS will most likely want a big man in any trade of Ellis though.

Totally made up. 100% fiction with zero source. But combining plausible(-ish) scenarios, players known to be shopped/not extended and the teams general thinking. Figured it wasn't as good as a real rumor, but hey, half of those are 100% fiction too :D

A good read, if a bit unsatisfying that none if it can even be attributed to a disreputable source. Thanks for something to read though. :)

The following is not a rumor, but a suggestion from some writer/commentator on ESPN:

Bynum to Philly for Iggy (And let's throw in Vuc or Hawes, ignoring his veto power, to make it seem remotely realistic). Thoughts, comments?

Ehhh no. Bynum's injury history scares me.
