Not at all. They are totally dependent on their guard play.

I think they overachieved last season.
Some teams are getting better in the West. If everyone is healthy, I don't think they will end up higher than Memphips, Utah, Dallas, ... like they did past season.

What's the hype with Porzingis? Is it because he's unique being a 7'2 athletic big who can shoot? Isn't his upside more like Ibaka than a superstar big?
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

I don't see any superstar ability with him. Watch his highlight reels. Most of his scoring comes from open 3 point shots, or dunks and put backs.

This will be a big year for him. If he is going to become a star he will need to take another step forward this year.

I think KP has the ability to be a top 10 player within a few years.

kind of a hot take but i think his hype was also the timing of being in NY at a time where they did not have much else... melo was off and on the past 2 seasons as well. he was the new hope.

don't get me wrong i do think he will be a good player but i think this year you see the hype die down a little
1- sophomore slump
2- there are going to be more players to share the ball with... rose, lee, noah, jennings, etc...

i also believe the lower his hype goes (and with good play by okafor) the less okafor haters will seem to appear and people will be on board with the pick. or at least be ok with it

Top 10 in the NBA?

That would mean that he was in the same class as Simmons, Embiid, and Towns. I'm sorry. I don't see that at all.

If he was on the Sixers last year he would have had even worse numbers than he had, and he still shot 42% from the field.

He is a long athlete that can shoot, and he has a bit of fight in him too, but I don't see him ever getting beyond an allstar type.

It's early though, but let's see how he does this year.

He didn't shoot great but you can see the form there. He has a great stroke. He will shoot better especially with better talent around him.

I'm sure he will. I don't question his ability to shoot the basketball.

However, I don't think he showed potential as a go to scorer, or someone that will need to be consistently doubled. He basically just shoots jumpers or crashes the boards. Granted, he is young and raw, but I'm not sure he will ever be the best player on a contender.

He got worse as the season wore on.

So, why hasn't Jaylen Brown been signed yet?

Makes it easier in case they can trade him for Blake Griffin or Jimmy Butler. Also saves cap room.

Lakers haven't signed Ingam yet either.

Hinkie always waited a while.

I'm glad Westbrook is staying with the Thunder.

He has to be the most coveted fantasy player this season, right? Assuming you're punting FG% or turnovers.

I would probably take harden over him, but that's about it. Harden will knock those 3s down on good percentages and still get rebounds and assists, and will win ft percentage as well

First regular season game OKC vs GS is a must see tv. Westbrook will take 70 FGA in that game alone, lol.

I've grown to like KP but thats be real here people talk about the post game being inefficient but if you look at many of the NBA so called stretch bigs they have no inside game and their outside game is below league average.

If they were SG they would be labelled inefficient chuckers but since they are bigs everyone stares at them starry eyed.

I believe that KP will be a star. Has a very natural perimeter game, moves off the ball in the mid range so naturally, almost like a classic 2 guard. I think his real upside offensively though is his pnr game but with Phil being obsessed with the triangle, he wasn't utilised enough in that role but that is how he will get that efficiency up.

And his defence shows great upside, moves really smoothly from the perimeter to the post. Has a good motor and appears as though he has a great relationship with his teammates. He's undersized sure, but I don't hold that against young players when projecting them.

The rebounding is the only chink in the armour for mine but again, I am a bit more lenient to skinny bigs.
