Man, how miserable is it to be a Suns fan? Best season in probably over a decade, get the 2 seed, all for a first round matchup with the defending champions. Just brutal.

Any love for the job our old buddy Monty is doing with the Suns. Like coach of the year type work. Funny he had to cool his heels here waiting for his chance to show what he can do.

Seems like he's gonna win. Already won the award the other coaches vote on. There could be the New York thing with Thibs but I think people see getting to the top of the Western Conference as more impressive than getting to the middle of the Eastern Conference with the respective rosters.

If you're going to play them, first round with players rusty and hardly played together is a great time to do it.

Exactly, I think this is a good opportunity for the Suns. If they win this, the sky is the limit in terms of confidence. If they lose it, nobody is going to hold it against them. The Lakers have more to lose here.

I guess the award for beating the Lakers in likely 6 or 7 is not playing the Clippers (only needed to win one more game!) in the next round. Still have to face either the Nuggets or Trailblazers, which will be brutal. I'm not sure how much the momentum will help them tbh. They'll probably just be exhausted by the end of round 2.

Yeah if I'm the Suns give me some lesser team in round one and hope someone else takes out the Lakers while they're rusty.

The west is tough though, you get these kind of matchups a fair amount. The Clippers were the 3 seed in 2015 and they got the Spurs as their 6 the year after the Spurs won.

For the game of basketball to make sense, the Suns have to beat the Lakers in 5.

Embiid and Curry do in no universe coexist on the same team.

Defense suffers, Embiid in constant foul trouble, ball taken out of Embiid's hands, Embiid would have to play the Draymond role.

Embiid plays the Embiid role.

I mean, this isnt even hard to comprehend. I worry about fans.

He has Klay coming back, and that's essentially all they need to be a very good team again. Klay being so automatic would have punished the Grizzlies every time they double or tripled Steph on the perimeter.

And he also seems like a Warriors lifer.

Curry + Embiid would break the league in half lol cmon now, bring in a guard type facilitator and two wings (Green and whoever) that’s an easy championship.

You triple team Curry who in the world is going to stop Embiid from getting the easiest of buckets.

JJ/Embiid was money, Curry/Embiid? Lol Curry would sink open threes like tic tacs.

How did you come up with that one? I agree on the general premise albeit these are all nba players we're talking about.

And you call me delusional and without cognitive thought. Are you okay? You don’t seem to be projecting logical sense with this line of thinking at all.

You don't understand how an NBA team of superstars and roleplayers and a system and fit needs to be created to win a championship.

Last week some guy here was laughing that Lakers is a championship contender

An 80-90% Lebron plus some games like last year where he turned it right the way up is still the most devastating player in the League. With AD they are always a contender until injuries start to pile on. Until then Lakers are the team to beat. Also too he’ll be master classing it on his playmaking more now that he has guy that can takeover.

Why is my gut telling me this is the year Milwaukee makes it to the Finals?

They certainly have a shot. I’m just glad they have to go through Miami and Brooklyn in the first rounds and we don’t.
