Bumping this thread because the season starts back up today. Would love it if Skylar Mays played his way to a contract with us.

Class of 2022 prospects:
Aminu Mohammed (age 21) - 6'5" 210
- not much of a playmaker, bad shooter, awful finisher
+ strong rebounder, strong point of attack defender
Julian Champagnie (age 21) - 6'8" 215
- not much of a playmaker, inconsistent shooter, average athlete
+ active defender with a lot of deflections, okay rebounder
Michael Foster (age 20) - 6'8" 250
- unestablished shooting range
+ good rebounder, strong shotblocker, good passer

We also have Sekou. Just watched a video where they ponder why he didn't turn into Durant/Giannis. Perhaps it's the 6'11 wingspan, to start lol.

Oh god, Sekou better not take minutes away from Foster or Champagnie...

I actually think the game against Greensboro Swarm will be pretty interesting. I think they have us with the top talent (McGowans and Maledon) but we have the better depth. It'll be interesting to see if Springer can shut down Maledon.

Re: Delaware Bluecoats Discussion
Smh Springer. What a dud performance, in foul trouble all night.
Foster looks every bit as good as advertised. Was great in the G-League as an 18 year old on the Ignite. And now he balls out with 19 points, 7 boards, 2 assists and 3 blocks in just 24 minutes.
Inexplicable that Foster wasn't drafted. Should have been a 1st rounder.

If McClung had very good to elite distribution ability, he'd be a starter in the NBA. He's pretty advanced at getting shots off. I don't know much about his defense, but I'm sure it sucks.

Ty-Shon Alexander is still my poor man's Jaylen Nowell. Glad to see he's still producing two years removed from the draft.

Michael Foster has another heater on the books. This dude is flashing EVERYTHING right now. Shooting, defense, rebounding, passing. This guy is going to be a future starting PF, I'm thinking.

Springer is hounding dudes on the ball. And just came up with a steal and fastbreak dunk. I'm going to stay believing in dude.

Re: Delaware Bluecoats Discussion
Not watching but it seems he’s still not doing anything on offense, which is discouraging. He’s the elder statesman on this team and should be able to run the offense.
Conversely, Mays and Foster’s offensive production is encouraging.

I only caught the end of the 4th quarter. Springer had a nice possession on the ball where he penetrated in the paint, the help defender came over and he and dumped it off to Foster for a 2 handed dunk. But yeah, definitely isn't being consistently strong or productive offensively.

Penny Hardaway is so trash. Why the hell did he have Minott buried on the bench? He's dominant.

Looks like Dotson’s agent told him to show off his distribution chops to get a chance in the league. 11 assists, single digit FGA.

I still like Jay Huff. He is definitely a guy who will understand his role as a pick and pop player who can also defend the rim. Sooner or later he’s going to carve out a role for a team.

Re: Delaware Bluecoats Discussion
I think we need to concentrate trying to farm 3 type of guys.
-Combo guards (can be great at PnR and ISO;i.e maxey)
-PFs with guard skills on both ends (can bring down the ball and shoot)
-Centers who can defend some guards, shoot 3s and block
I think thats where the league is heading, Magic and the Raps are ahead of the curve.
I also think we need to stop this project of finding guards that can play some power forwards (Zhaire, George Hill, Danny Green, Jaden and Melton).

Re: Delaware Bluecoats Discussion
Melton is a success story, though. He was a prospect with defense and passing. He developed a jumper and now he's one of the most complete players on our roster that impacts the game in many ways. That's why I'm still high on Springer. He has the defense and passing. Just needs to develop the jumper.
I want us to exclusively target multi-tool players.
Shooting plus defense
or
Shooting plus passing
or
Defense plus passing

Unfortunately, what struck me the most when watching a bit last night was how small he is. During breaks in action when players are huddled together, he looked super tiny next to Springer and Mays.
McClung is definitely an NBA level athlete and dribble driver, it's a shame he never developed his shooting, passing, or defensive traits in three years of college ball. He was just general athletic shotcreater the whole time.

I think Bassey being waived shows how high we are on Foster Jr.
I hope we can get a plethora of Foster Jr. like the Raps, we can just plug and play these type of guys with our key guys.

Agreed.
I hope to see him get some NBA game time. Fingers crossed he just goes beserk and forces his way in. Banchero lite
