If you work at a job and essentially carry the business to massive success despite everyone else being wholly unqualified, what sense does it make to stick around there when you can go to a much more enjoyable situation elsewhere?
If anything, I think his departure to LA is the blight on his career. A team with endless legends and the second most championships (now tied for most) is a pretty gross look in my eyes, particularly because you can finish out your career forming super teams as de facto GM in your hometown of Cleveland.
Absolutely. LeBron finishing his career a Laker, a franchise which loathed him for over a decade, was the most embarrassing move. Not as embarrassing as KD to GS, but close.
Miscalculation on his part. Covid happened. Kobe’s tragedy happened.
I thought that if LeBron won 1-2 REAL championships with Lakers, he’d have a strong fanbase to support his case for GOAT. i think his legacy got worse because i find Lakers fans are luke warm on him and im pretty sure they’re just waiting to throw him under the bus as soon as he decides to retire
Lebron was supposed to win atleast 1 championship. He was supposed to be loved by Lakers fans as much or more than Kobe, who he would have overshadowed. But life has other plans..
The biggest miscalculation for me is KD to Warriors. It robbed the fans of the beautiful game Warriors was playing. It robbed the fans of the epic match-up Warriors’ collective style vs Cavs big 3 style of play. And those two championships by KD are empty as it gets. Even KD himself reportedly regret that decision
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.
