The real team would bump Kyrie, put Tatum at SG, and start Embiid at C. But the NBA makes baffling positional distinction all the time.

If the NBA still had a C distinction, Jo would easily be starting. But they took that away because a bunch of mediocre centers racked up AS appearances not really deserved in the 00’s.

I do think they should just do away with positional requirements and just do best 5 now for the AS game. This should be how they name All-NBA teams as well.

I still feel like All-Defense should still have full positional requirements though?

If you want true equality you take positions out of all the teams. All defense, All NBA, All star.

Also can't keep flip flopping it because some generation had **** Cs. You have two of the best Cs of all time, who are duking it out for MVPs, yet one keeps getting **** on because of positions. Even the players see through it.

Use the PNR and don't try to back him down and dominate. As much as I do think during the playoffs he played poorly towards the end of the Heat series because of his broken face and mangled finger, we all know Jo gets in his feelings.

Time to channel this ****. Even we dont' win MVP, time to get FMVP.

It would be a nice change if Jo used this as fuel and just pummeled Jokic on Saturday, rather than go full emo.

But we all know the emo response is far more likely. Part of the reason he missed out on the starters.

Now, as mentioned Durant is likely to sit it out, so Jo will probably be a starter anyway.

Read on Twitter

Look at Al on this action. Look at how he “boxed out” grimes when he was rolling to the basket, to prevent him from helping.

Celts bigs are very notorious in doing this. Theis used to do this a lot in our 2020 series against them.

If Rob Williams is staying at Biid, we should hunt Al Horford. Blow past Al and its an open lane.

our advantage against celts is we can take rob williams out the paint while Celts rely on him on defense

Celts advantage against us is the jays can shoot over our defender. Another thing is they might lure Biid to come out the paint and just feast inside, where we might transition into some zone to prevent paint scoring if this scenario happen

Lol my Ben Simmons thread at GB is really making a killing.

I created that thread to unite Sixers and Nets fans against Ben and to make ALL NBA fans realize that Ben Simmons has the WORST contract in the league.

There’s no $35M player that you can’t play down the stretch. Its not just oncourt but he’s also a distraction in the locker room. And he’s a detriment/obstacle to your team’s overall roster structure and scheme.

For instance, Nic Claxton would be a much better player without Ben. Nets would be a much better team if they play Warren over Ben. Hell.. I’d rather have Bruce Brown with Royce O’Neal.

Kyrie
Bruce Brown
Royce O’Neal
Durant
Claxton

That would have been good enough to win it.

And suddenly, we're not that far away from Boston.
But I would prefer to not push Embiid (and Harden) to play through injuries, just to end up at #1 or #2 in the east. It's not worth it. Just scared our coach doesn't see it that way

Ben was mentally broken by the ATL series. Typical soft millenial.

Suddenly we have the 3rd best record on the league lol.

We're also on a good position to at least get the 3rd best record on the east, 4 games from the Cavs, 3 from the Nets (and the Nets are probably gonna keep losing games without KD). I think the important thing is not to fall from 3rd because 4th-5th play each other on the first round which means playing against one of the Cavs-Bucks-Nets in the first round already.

Outside of 2 or 3 games, our schedule for the next 2 weeks should help to get us more separation.

The real test begins after the all-star break, we have a Brutal round of 6 games right after the all-star game: Memphis, Celtics, Miami x2, Mavs, Bucks. We also play the Cavs rights before the break.

Yeah, but after the first round.

It's less taxing to play 2 tough rounds than playing just though match ups all the way.

A big reason the Celtics lose last year is that they came from two 7 game rounds with a super short rotation

I say aim for the 1st seed. Home court will be huge for these playoffs. No reason we should want to play Boston or Milwaukee in a 7-game series without homecourt.
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

7th ranked offense
6th ranked defense

Two hall of famers in Joel Embiid and James Harden. Young star in Tyrese Maxey.

We're no longer a paper contender. We're legitimately a title contender. We have the ingredients needed to win it all this year.

Complaining about millennials? Is this 2013? Society has moved on to making fun of Zoomers now. Besides, Ben is barely a millennial by definition and fits the Gen Z bill way better (victim mentality, enjoys the fruits of capitalism but doesn't want to work, turtles from adversity).

Lmao, good lord, this team. They are always rumored to be overpaying for a role player or false all-star since the late 90s.

they have to prove it to me still.
will say tho guys like Shake and Niang having great years and moving Maxey to 6th man makes Doc's all bench lust less of an issue

still tho Biid has to prove that his body can make it to the playoffs relatively healthy and never have those games in which he is sleepwalking because of reasons. He HAS to constantly bring it every night even if the shot isn't falling or he's not getting calls. We also need to figure out what to do when team start to switch on PNRs to force Harden to beat them or go to zone period. I also think those non Embiid minutes are still a major issue.

I also also think our defense is a bit of fools gold as we have no real stoppers and our wings are weak.

So while this current run is nice..I still don't think we beat the Celtics, Nets (especially if Benny Boi takes his ball and goes home lol), Healthy Bucks, and the Cavs have small guards who pull up from 3 which is our kryptonite in a 7 game series.

Not falling for the annual january run this time

Why on earth would ORL trade any assets for a Van Vleet rental when they can sign him next summer should he choose to go there, which is unlikely? I would thing that FVV will want to sign somewhere he has a shot to win now, not be a mentor for a young roster a few years away from seriously competing.

Orlando now dangling Bamba, Hampton, Ross, Gary Harris.

What do you guys think of Bamba?
