You said we're mediocre, THAT is definitely false. Is Boston mediocre? They lost to Orlando twice.
Maxey, Milton, and Harden all win off the dribble more times than not. They were just off tonight. The offense runs through Embiid anyway. It happens. Winning off the dribble wasn't the issue tonight. We didn't move the ball, Orlando recovered very quickly when we did. They played outstanding defense, give them credit. We were burnt out from the west coast trip and two battles that we won against good teams. Again we slept on Orlando. I can promise you that we beat them in two days. In fact, we'd whoop them 4-1 in a series. You are simply overreacting. I mean Morey is a fraud? Why? What else should we have gotten for Simmons? Calm yourself down. We're gonna smack them on Wednesday. In fact we still should have won tonight despite how bad we played.

At least you agree we need another big man.

I didn't say this team was mediocre. I said Embiid's greatness has masked the fact this team would be mediocre if he simply was really good...like if he was averaging 28-30 PPG, we d probably be closer to .500

My constant ranting has nothing to do with losing to the Magic, Thunder and Bulls at home. It's the false belief by many, especially in the media that this team is really good. It's not.

I've been a Sixers fan for nearly 40 years and been watching the same crap roster construction with Barkley and Iverson that I'm now watching with Embiid. So forgive me for being extra agitated.

Morey is a fraud until further notice. His 2.5 years here say so. Let's see if he can change that in the next 10 days.

How is Morey a fraud? We have the most talented team in the league and is on top of the power ranking. Second in the stacked east.

Luka has been crying for more talent to his team and he may never have a team more talented as this for his entire career.

You’re overreaching.

We have the most talented team in the league? really?

I mean, I’d be upset as well if I just lost at home to the fifth worst team in the league after losing a 23pt lead.

At least you got the NFL

What is it like being a magic fan? Is there any hope really? Had Shaq, then he left.

Had Penny, got hurt.

Had T-Mac, then he left.

Had Grant Hill, but he was a bust.

Had Dwight who was awesome for a few years, then became a huge jackass, and then left.

When was the last time the Magic were in the playoffs?

I will say, you guys have some pretty good talent this year, and have length for days.

I'm a fan of Franz Wagner, Wendell, Bol, and Paulo. But coming here to gloat. Cmon dude. Your franchise has absolutely nothing to gloat about it.

Good teams lose, it happens sometimes. Bad teams lose, it always happens.

Magic fans,

I love your team. Im the biggest Franz truther pre-draft.

But we ain’t THAT upset, aside from a few here who treats every game like its an elimination game.

We’re used to this up and down trend and we know its mostly gonna be up for us.

I haven’t even watched this game yet.

Yeah idk why our fans are coming in here. Probably the Banchero comment but who cares, people are entitled to opinions even if they're weird.

Should be a fun game 2. It'll be harder to take you guys by surprise but it'll be a good test for where our team is at mentally at least.

I wouldnt blame them. I also enjoyed lurking on the boards of the teams we upset during our process era. Its so entertaining how teams would cry for a complete rebuild after losing to a young upcoming team

Love your team. Im a big fan of both Fultz and Wagner.
I think Massai would be jealous on what you guys have over there.

Whats with bol bol btw? Why the sudden drop in his game?

That was awful after quarter time by the starters. I loved the bench tonight. They played well. However , Harden, Embiid , Harris and Maxey were awful. Melton was ok.

They completely out hustled the 76ers for the loose balls and out rebounded them on the offensive glass when more want.

What a stupid loss to hurt our climb to no1 seed. The writing was on the wall during the first half. We played 0 defense and once Magic started being aggressive it was only a matter of time.
Like against OKC, we thought we could just outscore them. It doesn't work that way. Some players took a night off defensively, and honestly it would have been better if Harden and Embiid just sat this one out and let the bench play hard and win it.

Embiid played great defense in the beginning but after the sixers got up and he got into foul trouble. The magic grew confident after realizing everyone on the sixers are tweeners except Embiid and they can get any shot they want. Harden and Maxey struggled to get in rhythm with the Magics length and defensive pressure. Embiid got way too loose with the ball down the stretch trying to play hero ball.

I expect the sixers to play more focused next game but I still expect the Magic length to give issues.

Lazy effort. No excuse.... just need to flush this one.

Give Orlando credit-- they've finally put a formidable collection of talent together and are gaining more and more confidence with each game.

Orlando is such a cool team to see grow. Another one of those 'what if' franchises it seems (in a couple of seasons)

They have the atlantic division top teams number, don't they? Boston also lost twice to them.

Don't see anyone thinking Boston is a bad team either.

Yes, part of it is we laid an egg in the second half effortwise. Part of it is the Magic really were causing us problems that Doc didn’t quite find the answer for. The double/triple teaming on Embiid was very effective, coupled with their fast closeouts on 3 pt shooters. You really need that second swing pass to the next open shooter against a team like Orlando. Embiid’s passes out of the post weren’t accurate last night, which meant the second pass was slow, and so on.

Maxey also needs to start producing as well. If he starts going into a rut, I can see rumblings of discontent forming.

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
