seems like we are going to sit this one out and grab some mediocre dudes in late july and early august and spin it as we have an improved team.

FACTS:
1. AI9 is one of the BEST players in the league using stats. FACT.
2. Thad has the possiblity of being a superstar. Check out Brian's Depressed Fan if you disagree.
3. Elton Brand is one of 3 Double Double players in the league and is returning this year.
4. Speights has a big upside.
5. Our draft pick, Jrue, who most are giving up on already after watching 2 poorly coached games in the danteandgalante show.
6. Lou has yet to have a training camp as a starter.
7. We have a new coach with the above players.
Lets stop complaining and discuss the Sixers. We have no idea of what the future will be and we should have time to discuss that then.

As for 76STHolder, I happen to agree with you on many of your points, which is why I am frustrated that the Sixers haven't been more proactive. This is a team that is unlike some of the lottery dregs we have experienced in year's past.
Philly has some young guns that are exciting and have quite a bit of upside. They have a former all-star who might be able to bounce back. Right now, they are a team that is somewhere around the 5-th8th seed in the conference, but while other team's are making a push, Philly has been silent. I have been following this team for a little over 30 years, so I'm not a fly by night fan. I don't want to see this team do anything stupid, but I do want to see some creativity in an attempt to push this team further. The 76ers are not one of the teams that is waiting for 2010, so they need to build around the core that they have and right now, it's promising, but not good enough.
As for not selling out, that's just a fact. The Sixers were down on attendance last year when optimism was fairly high. Right now, barring even a small change, I can only see that getting worse.

I am not ready to jump off the bridge and roast management YET. I am not saying ya'll are wrong but too soon to tell. Way too soon. Let's see what happens and then react. Reacting based upon feelings and thoughts do not make sense.
Ok, got it? Let's let the team put the pieces together, play some games under the NEW COACH, and then if Lou looks horrendous (as many feel he will), let it fly. But, I just think it is WAY TO SOON to be so critical.
And, all this talk of lottery, most experts believe the sixers got lottery picks the last 3 years, so what is the benifit of stinking as many of you hope them to do?
